Need to change a Standard Value Formula within CAPP-based calculation of standard values.

The formula, as relating to PP, mathematically describes a calculation which is used to determinestandard values via the CAPP module. It consists of characteristics which are linked via arithmeticoperands and functions. Using a CAPP formula, you can calculate both intermediate results and finalresults.

Tips and Tricks

Copy from an existing Formula whenever possible. This speeds data entry and can improve accuracy aswell.

If changing an existing formula, from the “Change Formula: Formula” screen, you can choose fromexisting characteristics to create a formula by placing the cursor on a characteristic, then select from themenu path: Environment>Characteristic>Display. At the “Display Characteristic: Initial Screen” selectthe “down arrow” at the “Characteristic” field. Leave the “Characteristic Name” field blank and select the“Enter” key. The “Hit List” will display a list of characteristics currently defined in the system.
