ENTITY DATA CROSS REFERENCINGCDi-MatchPro is the central data cross-referencing hub for the client.

CLIENT'S REQUIREMENTA renowned bank's gold copy of database consists of their counterparty data. The client requires cross-referencing of all counterparty records and also their enrichment with external rating agency identifiers such as unique ID's (SPID, Bloomberg ID etc.), CUSIP, ISIN, SEDOL and ratings. The client has subscribed to data feeds from approved global rating agencies.

OUR SOLUTIONSuccess was achieved in this case by using state-of-the-art CDi MatchPro matching engine supported by our best-in-class process model. Our data analysts use the automated & manual matching processes for cross referencing of External Credit Agency IDs with the client's internal IDs. The resulting cross-reference is then made available to the client to perform daily updates in their database. Impressed with the results, the client has installed CDi MatchPro onsite. Maintenance phase of project involves a composite of re-verification of entities and corporate action capturing and processing. A new workflow has been created so that the entities in the client pool are transferred to analysts' common pool for re-verification.

CreditDimensions has assigned a dedicated team for capturing corporate actions using subscription, direct research and CDi Robo as tools for tracking.

CLIENT'S REQUIREMENTThe client, an International Financial Services Group has a legacy system supporting risk measurement and management functions in Zurich. The client required a delivery partner to retire legacy system by migrating feeds, functionality and reporting into a new system.

OUR SOLUTIONThe client showed their trust in CDi by selecting us as an outsourcing partner. We have done several other projects for the client, delivering best quality always - economically and within time.

This project involves expertise of our highly trained IT staff with their sound foundation of financial industry and our dedicated data analysts' team.

For better management the project has been divided into multiple phases:

l Phase I - Understanding of various components of legacy system and creation of functional and technical specifications of the solution.

l Phase II – Implementation of Investment Bank (IB) Feeds, development, testing and deployment of the IB feeds and reports.

l Phase III – Support during UAT and production rollout.

Technology used in this project is Informatica, Powermart, Java, Oracle and HTML user interface. ClusterNet is the reporting component of the new platform.

CLIENT'S REQUIREMENTA leading Global Investment Bank's centralized solution for management of entity data consisted of approximately 30,000 entities from 120 countries. As necessary controls and audit points were not in place, the data quality was degrading. Our client wanted a solution that would provide the highest levels of data quality and the necessary process control and auditability.

OUR SOLUTIONCreditDimensions was awarded the work upon completion of a rigorous vendor selection process. Selection was done on the basis of prior experience in managing such projects, our scalability, tangible knowledge base and lower bid price. Our solution was implemented in following stages.

l Initial Setup: During this phase we performed following tasks: u Analysis and documentation of key business requirements. u Training of CDi data analyst team to carry out the project.u Setup replica database with the data provided by client.u Setup data cleansing workflows.u Refining processing rules for data verification.u Confirmation of exception management and approval process.

l Production: Comprised of daily data processing, database synchronization, weekly publication of metrics & status reporting and issue resolution for data exceptions.

Our solution provided additional bandwidth to the client for managing critical data management related project. Our highly skilled IT staff was able to keep up our side of technical infrastructure with client’s IT applications. On short notice they were able to address new or additional business requirements.

A one-stop shop solution for reference data management

CLIENT'S REQUIREMENTA Global Investment Bank was implementing a financial analysis to assess the profitability of top clients across all areas of the firm. This “Single View of Customer” effort is intended to ensure top-clients are properly serviced and to gauge the profitability of banking relationships.

As part of the exercise, there were lines of business that would send revenue summaries for each counterparty, which needed to be rolled up to the Enterprise level so that aggregation could be done.

Although there was an extensive hierarchy information in client's counterparty database, it was limited to one level and there were lot of breaks in between a given hierarchy tree.

It was determined that adding a reference to ultimate parent linking all possible counterparties together would enable a full roll-up and if done properly this data can be maintained cost effectively.

OUR SOLUTIONDue to large volume of entity groups to be cleansed it was never going to be an easy task. We had to link all counterparties in the database so that they roll up to the ultimate parent. Following approach was followed to meet the desired objective:

l For assigning the top-level group, CDi followed a top-down approach.

l At first we de-duplicated given database using CDi MatchPro matching engine.

l Selected the top 1,500 groups from the provided database.

l For each of the groups, analyzed their subsidiaries. This was done by referring to available public data sources. As the database consisted of global institutions, a variety of languages were involved. With the help of our team of language experts, different transliteration rules were applied for each language.

l For each subsidiary in the group, compared to the list of entities in counterparty database.

l If found, inserted the group name in the counterparty record.

l Provided an updated data set to bank with the grouping attribute added.

l Maintained this listing for changes, new add-in groups – Spin-offs, Mergers, Bankruptcies.

In addition to subject matter expertise there was a need of right tool kit to perform these operations. A workflow based CDi hierarchy manager was used to link up all counterparties with each other. Following are some key features of CDi hierarchy manager:

l Support for legal and custom hierarchy based on relationship types such as legal and custom (custodian, investment manager etc.)

l Single view to display an entity and its association with other entities.

l Support for complex relationships such as multi-managed funds and multi-owned corporate.

CLIENT'S REQUIREMENTThe client, an International Financial Services Group headquartered in Europe, in order to better manage the risk exposure of various counterparties available in their local database, wanted to link all counterparties to their corresponding parent companies.

OUR SOLUTIONCreditDimensions is an outsourcing partner to the client for tracking corporate actions of 1500 and growing ultimate parent groups with their complete subsidiary list.

Our highly specialized Corporate Actions team keeps check on the various stock exchanges, news portals and press releases of companies to trace the various mergers, acquisitions, bankruptcies, reorganizations and name changes.

The team recorded and applied all changes to the entities in the parent group list. The team used Web Tracking Tools and Workflow Application for their operations. For achieving the success criterion of this project, Enterprise application ETL and Hierarchy Management module of our highly sophisticated CDi application were used in this project.

Client's present system comprised of a number of time consuming manual processes, which often led to loss of time and reporting errors.
