    international success. Tests are carried out at all stages - from the raw materials to the extrusion and profiles, and installed windows. Of all thecomponents of a building, windows are subjected to some of t he severest wear and stress: heat and cold, UV radiations and pollutants, hurricane force

    gusts and cloudbursts, along with extremes of temperature.

    At KMMERLING the manufacturing process are outnumbered by the tests conducted in it's own fully certified laboratory , underlining the high standard

    Raw Materials

    The initial raw materials test is intended to

    demonstrate that prescribed chemical and

    Chemical Compound

    The U-PVC matrix is monitored visually,

    chemically and physically in accordance with

    specifications, to attain the highest quality inmanufacture, processing and use.

    Process Control

    The computerized mixing unit uses precision

    dosing scales to ensure that the company's

    own compounds are adhered to when mixingthe compound.

    Precision

    The extrusion dies are manufactured in-house

    to guarantee the necessary degree of

    precision. The accurate maintenance of thegeometry of each profile depends on them.

    Monitoring

    During extrusion the cross -profiles areconstantly monitored by means of measuring

    Energy Saving

    Window design begins right from its orientation in a building or structure

    to ensure low/high solar heat gain depending upon specific climate of a

    place, day lighting to conserve artificial lighting, noise attenuation, lowdust ingress, air/water tightness, aesthetics, low maintenance

    requirements, securit y, and the like.

    The energy efficiency of a window is expressed by its U Value (W/m2K).Lower the U-Value, better is t he insulation properties.

    With a lower U-Value, Win-Square uPVC windows do not

    GREENLINE, a registered KMMERLING trademark, is the name given

    to U-PVC window profiles made using the latest stabilizers. Underlyingthis convention is a contract stipulating the conditions that must be met

    by the undersigned window manufacturer in order to be entitled to usethe greenline trademark.

    The purpose of this agreement regulating the use of the trademark is to

    contractually specify the particular environmental responsibility of theundersigned window manufacturer and of profine, and to express this in

    a credible and easily recognisable form for the benefit of builders andarchitects.

    The greenline Convention provides builders with written confirmation

    that, with their outstanding combination of materials, thesestate-of-the-art windows cause the minimum environmental impact.

    Under the terms of this agreement, the window manufacturers andprofine undertake to abide by the seven stipulations listed on the right.

    Use of the greenline mark is only permitted when all the conditions

    mentioned here have been met, and in addition, when this trademarkcontract has been signed by both partners, the window manufacturer

    and profine, and has become legally effective.

    This agreement is available for inspection at any time by any interested

    persons. Windows bearing the greenline mark must be made with

    profine profiles, and proof must be provided. This proof takes the form ofthe greenline Declaration on the order confirmation or the invoice.

    profine gives its contractual partners a guarantee that the fresh U-PVCused to make its window profiles contains the latest calcium/zinc

    stabilizers in place of lead and/ or are made from recycled PVC-U.

    Due to their ability to conserve energy throughout their life-time - from

    raw material stage to in-use stage, Win-Square uPVC Windows are

    recognized as Green Windows.

    The KMMERLING profiles have advanced thermal insulation. K-Value

    of profile is lower than 2.0 which is the best choice of energy saving

    window product.

    Win-Square uPVC windows are best fit for all weather conditions - from

    salty humid corrosive air of coastal areas, to sub-zero temperatures, toheavy rains, to the hot dust storms, to t he cyclonic gale winds.

    The window manufacturer gives an undertaking to abide by the relevant

    quality directives in all respects, from the correct manufacture of the

    structural elements to the installation by experts, and to supply a qualityproduct that conforms to the latest technical standards.

    The window manufacturer declares that no environmentally harmful

    materials have been used in the installation and sealing of the structuralelements. The structural elements, which are manufactured in

    accordance with the greenline Convention, may be marked with a label

    attached to the prof i le bear ing the greenline symbol.Partners in the greenline scheme, and profine, will support joint

    marketing measures by the contractual partners to publicize greenline.

    respective contractual party, with its own services. profine does not

    assume overall responsibility. Through the use of the greenline symbolthe window manufacturer does not acquire any rights to this trademark.

    KMMERLING U-PVC profiles fulfill the demands of DIN 18055(resistance to driving rain). All window types are designed to be water

    tight when tested up to 300 PA limit specified in BS 6375.Performance of Windows Part 1, 1989. Classification for weather

    tightness. Some types achieve a 600 PA Rating.

    DESIGNED FOR TROPICAL CLIMATE

    The highly developed KMMERLING material compound Komalit-z isconsidered to be a very high impact resistance material specially

    made for tropical climate. It is also known to perform the worldwide

    standards for strength, durability, heat stability, color retention andtermite resistance.

    FIRE RETARDANT

    Win-Square U-PVC windows and doors with KMMERLING profilesystems offer considerable fire protection. It does not supportcombustion and are in fact self-extinguishing. The special profile

    compound possesses a fire retardant rating according to DIN 4102. Italso fulfills Class 1 fire resistance as defined in BS (British Standards)

    476: Part 7.
