HOW ABOUT YOU?? In Matthew 16, Jesus asked the disciples "Who do people say that I am?" The answer? "A prophet!! John the Baptist (the one who would come before the Messiah)... Elijah... Jeremiah ... or just another prophet." The important question was coming next: "Who do YOU say that I am?" What if Jesus asked that of you or me today? How would you respond? If you take the Sunday School approach, you would give the "correct" answer: YOU are the SAVIOR of the World!! The only Son of God, sent to die for our sins!! Sent to deliver us from sin and death!! That is absolutely true. If you answered that, you answered well. However, Jesus has never appeared to me and asked me to answer that question verbally. I'll imagine He has never verbally asked that of you, either. But we are asked that question EVERY DAY ... BY THE WORLD!! And we say "Wait one minute: I have NEVER been asked that question!!" But, you have. They are looking for the answer in your eyes. In your heart. In your words and actions. And, what if they base their opinions on the reality of Christ on the answers we provide by how we live?? What will they believe about the truth of Christ? TELL SOMEONE TODAY by loving others with God's kind of love!!! It really IS that simple. David
