Activities for allGrab the bikes and helmets and take in the scenic views of the water. The 5 mile tarmac track around the reservoir is great for a day out with the kids. A section of the path is incorporated into the Sustrans Cycle Route 41.
The road is ideal for a leisurely stroll and there is a boardwalk and paths that take you away from the road to explore a number of small woodlands. The 25 acre country park provides plenty of space to play games and enjoy the outdoors. Hensborough Hill in the country park provides spectacular views and is a great place for a picnic. Please use litter bins provided.
The Sailing club offers tuition, competition and membership– call 01788 811153 for more information. The Fishery offers tuition, equipment and access to the water for fishing either off the bank or from a boat. – call 01788 812018 for more information.
Activities for ChildrenIn the country park there’s a great play area for children up to 12yrs old, wild play and den building. Look out for seasonal activities including Welly Wanders and spooky Halloween trails!
