▪ At Eastlake, the HSBP is implemented using Xello, a program that lets students explore various post-secondary paths. Students identify interests, skills, desired amount of education and more to create best-fit suggestions for your student's future career and schooling.

▪ Completion of the HSBP is done throughout the four years at Eastlake and in a variety of courses and activities.

Health and Fitness

Reasons to take 9th Grade Health & Fitness▪ .5 Health credits (fulfills graduation requirement)

▪ .5 PE credits (will need additional 1.0 credits to graduate –requires only two additional semesters during 10th-12th grade)

▪ Research shows that activity and exercise boost academic performance, relieve stress, and promote better sleep

▪ We discuss a healthy lifestyle and put learned concepts into action during class time

▪ Focus on overall Wellness includes Mental and Emotional Health, Stress Relief, Time Management, and Healthy Lifestyle choices

▪ Great way to balance an academic schedule; input stress relief and activity into the school day

▪ Differences▪ Honors covers material at a faster pace and in greater depth

▪ Students taking Honors should be highly motivated, have strong work ethic and interest in math, and have a strong Algebra 1 and Geometry foundation

▪ Non-honors Algebra 2 classes have additional support of intervention teachers.
