Today we had two special visitors at Preschool. Nicky brought in her dog Halo!! She brought him in to teach us how to be safe around dogs.

There are four things we have to remember when come in contact with a dog, they are:

If there is no owner, do not touch the dog.

If there is an owner, ask if you can touch the dog.

Put your closed fist in front of the dog’s nose, so it can smell you.

Pat the dog on its body. Once we learnt the correct way to interact with a dog, we got to meet Halo. He was so soft

and he kept giving us kisses! It was great having Nicky and Halo at the Preschool!

On Wednesday the 12th of December Kym from Bob Turner Wildlife brought in lots of his reptile and amphibian friends for us to meet. We got to meet a turtle, two lizards, a green tree frog and two snakes – one small and one big! The show was very interactive

and a lot of fun! Outcomes:

4.4: “Children resource their own learning through connecting with natural materials.” 4.1: “Children are curious and enthusiastic participants in their learning.”

This year has been a wonderful year at Eastern Creek Public School Preschool filled with many exciting experiences. Our two and a half day program saw our Adventurers and Explorers children partake in events such as The Easter Hat Parade, Shine! Concert, Healthy Harold, Featherdale Wildlife Park, Under the Sea Incursion and many more. Mrs Chojnacki and I greatly enjoyed our third year as the Preschool team and were extremely proud of the achievements and progress made by the children throughout the year. Saying goodbye to our preschoolers was a moment filled with mixed emotions. We were sad to see our little people leave, but we were excited for their transition to ‘big school’ and all of the fun adventures that would head their way. We look forward to the 2019 school year and meeting all of our new students and families! All the Best Ms Walli
