Werthmann Room
The name Genesis means ‘origin.’ The Book of Beginnings:
The book contains the accounts of Adam & Eve, Cain & Abel, Noah and the flood, the Tower of Babylon. Early ancestors of the Israelites—Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph. Over 2000 years in 50 chapters. The book of Genesis spans more time than any other book in the Bible, more time than the remaining sixty-five books put together. Let’s go back to the beginning and see what it means for us now. Join us as we explore the “God” of Genesis.
This ancient book was written to record the story of a people’s faith and to help keep that faith alive.
This Class has been rescheduled for the Fall.

8:30 am—9:30 am
Resurrection Eggs Can you tell the Easter Story to your kids? Can your kids tell the Easter Story to you? Want a great way to share the story together and easily be able to retell the story? Then join us for this inspiring, fun filled Easter Activity! Our youth will each make their own set of Resurrection Eggs. As we go through the Easter Story (Palm Sunday—Easter morning) kids will fill their eggs with items representing 12 Easter Story events and put them in their own carton to take home. This is a set that you will be able to pull out and use year after year. Kids will be proud to share the story will other family members. What a great tradition to start each Easter! Opening each egg and telling the scripture that goes along with it. Take turns around the table and everyone gets to help! The eggs are all numbered and a master story sheet goes along with each set. There is no cost to our kids for this event. We will be making extra sets and offering them to the congregation. Voluntary contributions will be accepted for each set. Thank you!
From Outreach Committee The Outreach committee would like to assure the congregation, that in regard to the Five-In-One giving program, that opportunities for giving are on-going. If you wish to contribute at any time throughout the year, simply designate your intention on one of the pew envelopes provided.

Check our Outreach Bulletin Board in the Narthex for more information on how your Outreach Committee is working for you and our neighbors.

Movie Series Continues
Sunday, March 17, at 2 p.m. “CRASH” Multi-Award-Winning Film
Shown in the Werthmann Room
The March 17 screening of “CRASH” continues the movie and discussion series offered as part of our exploration of what it would mean to be an “Open and Affirming” United Church of Christ.
Released in 2004, its themes of racial and social tensions are as relevant today, perhaps even more so, than when the film first hit the theaters.
“CRASH” features an ensemble cast, including Sandra Bullock, Don Cheadle, Matt Dillon, Brendan Fraser, Thandie Newton, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, and others. This film is rated “R.”
In addition to the film series, watch for details of other opportunities to share and discuss our opportunity to become Open and Affirming, including an upcoming Bible study class.
Please plan to join us for the movie “CRASH”
(and some tasty snacks)
