From the Pastor : Written on Friday, March 20 th …. Well, I arrived in Stanford, KY on Tuesday afternoon, and haven’t stopped yet. Trey and I came up together and we are feeling at home. We had a great trip so far. I get to spend time with my son and really engage in that relationship. That alone time helps me to learn about Trey some more so our bond will grow to a whole new level. The hospitality shown to us has been amazing. We thank you for that hospitality. We’ve had people take us out for lunches, for dinners, even served dinner to us at their homes. I’ve had offers to do my laundry and even offers to watch Trey if I need to have some alone time. This hospitality has been so great, that it reminded me of a wonderful scripture verse. You know it. Matthew 22:39 (NKJV) And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ We should, and I know you do, love God more than anything else. But what exactly does it mean to love our neighbor as ourselves? Certainly part of it means feeding your new pastor, inviting him to your home, and even offering to do his laundry. But it is also sharing with the poor and the aliens (people who don’t walk in our circles). Being compassionate and having absolute honesty in our relationships. Refusing to gossip, not engaging in wickedness toward one another, or even holding grudges. This is not easy though and thank you Lord for a Savior in Jesus who covers our mistakes when we fail. Stanford, KY has a lot of neighbors. Let’s show them the love that I know Stanford Baptist Church has. But we also need to strengthen our relationship with God. Remember the first part of that passage… “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.” I pray you share this vision with me. Let’s love God and pursue others together. Love You All In Christ, Bro. Musically Speaking

Stuart Underwood, Minister of Music

Thanks to Phil Sebastian for filling in at the piano for an ailing Becky Stogsdill last Sunday. Thanks to Laura lee for a beautiful offertory based on "There's Something About That Name" and "O, How He Loves You and Me". The Adult Choir did a great job on their anthem. This Sunday is Palm Sunday. During the morning worship the Adult Choir will be singing a beautiful anthem "Alone He Prayed" for the Call to Worship. The anthem will be a really neat anthem "sing Hosanna" with the Children's Choir. The Handbells will be playing the offertory. Sunday evening our church welcomes the community to "The Living Last Supper" performances at 6:00 PM. invite friends and neighbors to join us in worship and fellowship as we remember The Last Supper. Come early and make our guests feel welcome.

Have a great week! Stuart
