“Fill My Fold” – Divide the class into two teams. Place one shepherd on each side of the flannelboard.Scatter lambs in the middle of the board or place on a table for children to pick from. The shepherds arelooking for some lambs to fill their sheepfold. When a team member answers a question correctly, they canplace a lamb by their team’s shepherd. Ask questions alternately. The team with the most lambs wins. –
Sharon Ohlin.
Review questions for A Shepherd for You:
1. Give one reason why sheep need a shepherd. (They get lost easily. They need someone to guidethem to food and water. They need protection from wild animals.)
2. Tell two ways that people are like sheep. (They go their own way. They need someone to love andcare for them.)
3. How is the Lord Jesus like a shepherd? (He loves us. He willingly gave His life to save us. Heknows all our needs.)
4. Since wicked men nailed Jesus to a cross, what does it mean when the Bible says, “He laid downHis life for us”? (Since Jesus is God, He could have come down from the cross, but He loved usenough to stay there.)
5. Why did Jesus have to die? (So that we could be forgiven of our sins.) 6. Who was it that remembered that Jesus said He would rise again? (His enemies.) 7. What did Jesus’ enemies do to make sure Jesus’ body was not removed from the grave? (They
stationed soldiers at the grave to keep someone from going in and stealing His body.) 8. What happened at the garden tomb even though the soldiers were on guard? (Jesus came out of
the grave alive.) 9. Say the Bible verse found in John 10:11.10. How can you be sure the Good Shepherd will love and care for you? (Receive Him as Saviour and
trust His word that says, “I will never leave thee.”)
*COUNSEL TIME: (*Only if you did not counsel with the children earlier.)
SEND HOME WITH THE CHILDREN: 1. Pre-session papers for older and younger child 2. Memory verse token

Eachtime a child returns to the “sheepfold,” all children at the “sheepfold” say verse together.

GO AND TELL BOX Week #22 – What Do the Snavelys Do?
(Suggested item to put in the “Go and Tell” Box – DVD.)
What do you think a DVD has to do with going and telling? (Let the children share their ideas.)
It reminds me of one way Mr. Mike tells others about ourcreator God, the Lord Jesus.
WHAT DO THE SNAVELYS DO? (Show their show picture. Use WHAT wordstrip.)
We have learned in Good News Club/Released Time Class that missionaries have manyresponsibilities. Sometimes their responsibilities depend upon where they serve the Lordas missionaries and what ways they use in reaching people with the message of God’sWord.
TEACH TEACHERS – (Use TEACH TEACHERS wordstrip.) Mr. Mike travels andteaches creation seminars (large classes) in churches. These seminars are attended by manydifferent people: Christian school teachers, Sunday School teachers, children’s worshipteachers, and Wednesday night Bible club teachers. These people who teach children getmany ideas to help them talk about how God created the world in their classes.
TEACH CHILDREN – (Use TEACH CHILDREN wordstrip.) Sometimes, Mr. Mike isinvited into schools to present special classes on creation and evolution. Mr. Mike also doesspecial programs for children and their parents in churches. Mr. Mike enjoys teachingchildren.
PREPARE VISUALS – (Use PREPARE VISUALS wordstrip.) Mr. Mike has written andproduced DVDs that can be used in schools and homes by teachers and parents who areinterested in learning more about God’s wonderful world of creation. There is a video thatexplains the “Flood of Noah.” Mr. Mike is now doing a series for children to watch and learnmore about God the Creator.
LET’S PRAY FOR OUR MISSIONARIES.
THANK God that DVDs are available to help teachers, parents and children understand theBible’s teaching of creation.
PRAY that the DVDs will be used to help children and grownups understand the truth ofBiblical creation.
