• Conceptual theme for artistic enhancements:

Honor the Past and Celebrate the Future

• Artists will broaden and further interpret the theme as their ideas evolve.

• The sum total of all artistic enhancements:

– Help to establish an identity for the EB-BRT system and

– Reflect neighborhood and community character at stations.

• The Lead Artist(s) will work closely with the EB-BRT design team

• Artist Team(s) formed for the EB-BRT will:

– Create artistic enhancements integrated with certain station design elements (Standard and Enhanced)

– Directly interact with the local community

– Prepare conceptual design of the artistic enhancements

• The Supporting Artist(s)/Artisan(s) will join with the Lead Artist in creating integrated artistic enhancements for the BRT stations

• As part of the Artist(s) Team they will:

– Assist in the development of the design of integrated artistic enhancements

– Join in interacting with the local community

– Self-fabricate a design or create a design that is fabricated otherwise

• AC Transit to select one Lead Artists for the entire corridor or or up to three Lead Artists, one for each corridor grouping (see map on next slide)

• Lead Artists to select a minimum of one or up to two Supporting Artist(s) and/or Artisan(s) from the Pre-Qualified Pool

• Lead Artists contract with AC Transit

• Supporting Artists and/or Artisans contract with Lead Artist

• Responsive submittals must include all forms filled out, including:

1. Form “Certification Regarding Lobbying” (pg 33 - 37)

2. Form “Designation of Subcontractors” (pg 38 - 40)

3. Form “Certification of Proposed Contractor Regarding Debarment…” (pg 42)

4. Form “Buy America Certificate” (Page 43)

• If form does not apply to you: mark with N/A, sign, and submit with other forms

• Hardcopies must be sent or delivered to AC Transit (to address on RFQ cover sheet)
