In the last years, more entrepreneurs are finding

their way with the support of many entities,

development programs (FINICIA), venture capital funds (e.g. InovCapital)

and business angels clubs.

- From 1 BA network in 2004 to 6 BA networks in 2007;

- €24 millions invested in seed and start-up capital;

Gesventure was created in 1999 by Francisco

Banha (Gesbanha) and Christophe Chausson

(Chausson Finance). This partnership gathered

Francisco Banha determination in supporting

Portuguese entrepreneurs and Chausson’s

expertise in catalysing projects with venture

capital.

In this 7 years of activity, Gesventure has largely contributed to the awareness of

entrepreneurship in Portugal, in result of the annual events realized, books and

articles publishing and conference participation.

National Federation of Business Angels Associations was created in the beginning of 2007 by 5 different clubs.

FNABA objective is to foster Business Angel activity in Portugal, organizing national innitiatives as the national Business Angels week and supporting regional clubs.
