Electronic Entries & Payment
Send payment via Paypal to [email protected]. All forms of Paypal payments, including credit cards, are accepted. To offset Paypal’s fees, you MUST add 2.9% + $.30 to your entry total. The easiest way to calculate your fees is to multiply your total entries by 1.029 and then add $.30 to that total, rounding to the nearest cent. For example, if your total entries come to $34, to calculate the paypal fee:
34 x 1.029 = 34.99 + .30 = $35.29 total to submit via paypal
Your payment and entries WILL NOT be accepted if this additional fee is not included! Save your Paypal receipt (i.e. the email confirmation you receive from paypal)! (see below…)
Your entries MUST be submitted on official ASFA entry forms formatted to print on standard 8½ x 11” paper. You may use your own pre-filled official ASFA entry forms, the generic MS Word or PDF versions available on the ASFA website (http://www.asfa.org) or the the entry form available in the premium list.
You may fill in your entry forms on your computer or print them out and fill them in by hand. Per ASFA regulations, your entry forms must include your original signature (not your typed name in lieu of signature), so either way you MUST print your forms, sign them manually, and scan them back to digital format (PDF or JPG please). It is your responsibility to ensure that your scanner is set correctly to produce final output at the correct size. This also applies to any required documents, e.g. signed certification/waiver forms and copies of registration papers for FTEs.
Forward your Paypal receipt to [email protected] and ATTACH your completed entry forms and any required documents (e.g. certification/waiver forms and registration papers for FTEs) to that email. Your entries can’t be accepted if: a) your entry forms do not contain an original signature; b) all associated paperwork (e.g. certification forms/waivers and AKC registration for FTEs) is not included; c) attached entries and related documents are not submitted on official ASFA entry forms and sized to print at 8½ x 11”; or d) your email is not correctly date/time stamped before the Early Entry deadline (6:00 p.m., Thursday, April 9, 2009).
Receipt of all electronic entries WILL be acknowledged by the FTS.
Sorry, electronic payment is for early entries only. We cannot accept credit card payments the day of the trial.
Questions? Contact Beth Levine at [email protected] or 425-609-1887. All questions WILL be answered promptly!
In 2006, ASFA Operational Policy #287 was revised as follows:
“Fax and email entries may be accepted by Field Trial Secretaries, but only in such cases as payment (e.g., by Paypal or similar service, or by credit card) is received at the time the entry is submitted.”
Please read the following instructions carefully:
