Warmth parents are affectionate toward their children.
Cold parents may not enjoy being with their children and may have a few feelings of affection for them.
Restrictiveness-Permissiveness
Restrictive parents tend to impose rules and to watch their children closely.
Permissive parents impose few rules and supervise children less closely.

Parents tend to use the methods of induction, power assertion, and withdrawal of love.
Inductive Methods
Aim to impart knowledge that will enable children to generate disable behavior. The main inductive technique is reasoning or explaining why kind of behavior is good and another is bad.

Ex. They make strong efforts to control their children . However, they also reason with their children and show them strong support and feelings of love.
Authoritarian Parents, have strict guidelines for right and wrong, their enforcement methods rely on force.

Permissive-Indulgent, a child rearing style in which parents are not controlling and restrictive but are warm.
