The department of ENT and Head and Neck Surgery

provides comprehensive patient care for all ear, nose,

throat, head and neck disorders, including:

The use of modern technology like endoscopy enables the

visual inspection of the areas, for accurate and detailed

The Audiology and Speech Therapy department is

located in the out-patient area for easy and

comprehensive access.

Cochlear Implants: Surgical implantation of an electronic

device to restore useful hearing and provide improved

communication abilities for persons who have severe to

profound sensorineural hearing loss (nerve deafness) and who

cannot benefit from hearing aids.

Endoscopic Tracheal Surgery: Endoscopic or Minimally

invasive surgical techniques are used to correct disorders of the

trachea (wind pipe) like narrowings, tumors or collapse to

improve breathing and quality of life.

Advanced endoscopic skull base and eye surgeries: This

technique approaches the anterior skull base using the natural

openings inside the nose to avoid any scars. It is effective in the

treatment of pituitary tumors, infections of the tear sac in the

eye, orbital tumors & infections, Trauma of orbit & anterior skull

base.

Laser Surgeries: The surgical laser is very precise and causes

minimal thermal damage to the tissue. The laser beam also seals

small blood vessels as it cuts leading to a minimum of blood loss.

Some indications include removal of tonsils, turbinate

reduction, snoring and surgeries for vocal cords.

Head and Neck Cancer Surgeries: Cancers of the ear,

nose, throat, tongue, cheek and voice box are treated surgically

along with radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

Rhinoplasty: Cosmetic nasal surgery is performed to reshape

the nose or to help correct structural defects that may cause

breathing problems.
