Fresh- man-Juniors with at least a 3.0 GPA are eligible to apply for the pro- gram. The program will take place July 12-18th on Mizzou’s campus. Applicaons are due Friday, April 24th. Caleb Johnson, received the second highest scholarship award and an invitaon to study voice at the University of Missouri, Kansas City Conservatory of Music as a result of his performance at the compeve recital. Dancers Compete in Talent Competition

This Friday, April 24th, at 8pm, 6 of Central’s

Advanced Dancers will be competing in

the final round of the St. Louis Teen Talent Competition at the

Fabulous Fox Theatre. Dancing as the “Central VPA Dancing Six,” Robert Crenshaw, Daryon Kent, Channce Williams, Joshua Hall, David

The Visual Arts department is looking to find a good home for our monumental portrait of the legendary

Dr. Maya Angelou. This painting was completed by several art students on the CVPA Theatre stage during the Black History

Performing Arts Night on February 25, 2015.

During the year on the board , Student Board members meet every other month at the St. louis Fed to discuss issues related to economic and

personal finance, listen to speakers on topics ranging from leadership development to career planning and progression and compete for two

summer internships during the summer of 2016.

Congratulations to Lorenzo Jones, Mykel Blair, and Caleb Johnson who performed last

weekend at the Opera Theatre St. Louis’s Artist in Training Program. Caleb Johnson,

received the second highest scholarship award and an

invitation to study voice at the University of Missouri, Kansas

City Conservatory of Music as a result of his performance at the competitive recital.

From April 25 till May 9, our students will be participating in the 2015 Collaborative Five High School Exhibition, an

exciting array of student artwork from two local high schools, starting April 25 and continuing to May 9.

Our students have produced highly imaginative artworks

in media including painting, drawing, ceramics, sculpture, mixed media, and photography.

The reception for Collaborative Five will be on Saturday,

April 25 from 5:00 till 7:00 in Gallery 210 on the Universi-ty of Missouri-St. Louis North Campus. Please make the time to come support our artists at this beautiful show.

Junior Musician Plays At Local Venue

Junior, Katie Schleicher made her guitar performance debut with the Diamond Cut Blues

Band last Friday at the Ready Room entertainment venue. Her father plays drums in the band.
