WEST DEPTFORD HIGH SCHOOL EAGLE NEWS – May 15, 2020 Principal Notes: On May 20th and May 21st, we are going to have the locker cleanout. Please see the information below regarding the guidelines for locker cleanout, and the assigned dates and times. Please try to adhere to your scheduled time as much as you can. If you have siblings, you may bring them at the same time. 1. Students must wear a mask and present their school ID to enter the building. 2. When coming to the school to pick up belongings, we are asking that students only enter the school through the front door to minimize the number of people coming into contact with other students. 3. We will be permitting approximately 10 (ten) students to enter the facility to reduce contact and promote social distancing. Students will be asked to remove items from their lockers quickly and will have a maximum of 15 minutes to complete the task. 4. Students will also be able to empty their gym lockers. 5. Due to the large amounts of students that might have to enter the school, please be prepared to wait in line. We will maintain appropriate distancing for all students waiting in line for their safety. 6. We will have trash cans in the hallways and ask students to throw away any garbage. 7. Students are to bring containers to clean out their lockers. 8. All students must enter and exit the front main office doors. 9. Administrators will be monitoring the hallways to maintain social distancing and to avoid students hanging out. 10. All textbooks/novels can be returned (if not needed) to the front table in the Main Office Lobby. Please place your Name and Teacher’s Name on a piece of paper and place that paper in the front cover of the textbook/novel. 8:00am- 9:00am 9:00am-10:00am 10:00am-11:00am 11:00am-12:00pm 9 th Grade Only Wed 5/20/20 Last Name A-D Last Name E-H Last Name I - O Last Name P -Z 11 th Grade Only Thursday 5/21/20 Last Name A-D Last Name E-H Last Name I - O Last Name P -Z 12:00pm-1:oopm 1:00pm – 2:00pm 2:00pm - 3:00pm 3:00 – 4:00pm 1o th grade Only Wed 5/20/20 Last Name A-D Last Name E-H Last Name I - O Last Name P -Z 12 th Grade Only Thursday 5/21/20 Last Name A-D Last Name E-H Last Name I - O Last Name P -Z

COMMENTS/SUGGESTIONS:

Keep making comments on this link. We need to hear how your home experience is, and what we can do to ensure we are providing additional support when needed. I will keep the link posted on our website, so keep commenting. I hope that you were able to see a change/modification in work, and that these changes are helping everyone at home.

GRADUATION

Please note that at this time, our graduation date is June 16, 2020.

Graduation is getting close!! I want to thank everyone for filling out the survey and appreciate all the feedback as we move closer to the big day. Based on the results, everyone agrees to hold two graduation ceremonies; a Virtual Graduation and, if allowed, a July Date for the students to walk together as a group. With that information, I will plan for both. There was a new update released after I sent the survey out regarding “DRIVE THROUGH” Graduations. I will look at that to see the guidelines the government has issued. Two hundred and ten cars in an area with windows up takes more work than you would realize logistically. As we stated before, we will adapt and make the best of the situation and scenarios that we provide. More information will be sent to SENIOR PARENTS next week regarding plans. Thank you for everything, and your patience is much appreciated.

YEARBOOK NEWS:

If you would like to donate a yearbook to a member of the Class of 2020, please go to www.jostensyearbooks.com, write "Senior" for first name and "Donation" for last name. Do not choose a grade when ordering. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
