• Competition to allow EAA members to bring forth their best solutions for loss of control
• Judges: Burt Rutan, Dick VanGrunsven, Charlie Precourt, Rod Machado, Dave Morss
• Entrants will be judged on Cost, Ease of Installation, Wide Applicability, and Effectiveness
• 1st Prize $25,000; 2nd Prize $10,000; 3rd Prize $5,000

Primary Category STC
• Novel concept to allow modifications standard-category aircraft• STC moves the aircraft to primary category• Primary allows for FAA-accepted “Airworthiness Design
Standard”• EAA’s proposal allows for any and all modifications, excluding
those to engine, prop, “airframe primary structure.”• Will incorporate careful safety analysis
• Initial AML application will be for most common primary-eligible types, type clubs could submit own applications thereafter.
