Keen to be involved in our local communities.

What makes a microgrid?

• Local onsite renewable generation• Trade energy locally• On a defined piece of network (both

electrically and geographically)• Attempt to get a better value for power sold

to a supplier• Could involve storage• Could attempt to improve quality of supply

Where?

Buying and selling power

• Need to talk to SP Manweb who own the network

• Everyone would still be connected to the public network

• Need to discuss with suppliers what sort of contract to buy and sell power could be drawn up
