The Stockade-athon is popularly recognized as the “oldest major 15K road race” in the USA. Starting in 1976 this classic 9.3 miler has become the highlight event of the fall racing season in upstate New York. New England Runner selected the Stock- ade-athon as it’s “race of the year” in 2005. STOCKADE-ATHON 15K AWARDS STOCKADE-ATHON 15K AWARDS For Open Men & Women For Open Men & Women Presented by Fleet Feet Sports Albany $3000 Cash Prizes awarded to Top 5 men & women • To be eligible for open prize money you must have a valid 2009 USATF membership and be a US citizen or resident alien as defined by the IRS. • Stockade-athon champions who meet a time standard will receive travel, lodging and Elite Status to the Gate River 15k, host of the 2010 USA 15k championships. Additional Cash Prizes • $1000 Cash Prizes awarded to the Top 3 masters men & women** • $750 Cash Prizes awarded to the Top 5 age and gender graded athletes** **Eligible to receive more than one cash award • $600 Team Cash Prizes - Six Divisions Age Division Awards - Handcrafted Pottery & custom medals • Top 3 Male & Female scorers in 5-year age-groups (15-19 to 80 plus) • Clydesdale Divisions - Open & Masters - Must weigh in at packet pickup to score. Certain streets may be under construction or in disrepair. Stay Alert! Course is not recommended for wheelchairs. No headphones, baby joggers or animals. Race course closes after 2 hours.
