Leaps and Bounds in Light Years

• Digital communication is great fun. Teachers and children can learn together!

• Digital technology (cameras, scanners, pc’s etc) can easily be linked to other curriculum subjects.

• Pick a theme and feed their imaginations.

R-R-R: Recycle-reduce-reuseWe are very concerned with the environment

and we believe our actions can make a difference. We are interested in writing and sharing ideas, photos, and posters about the situation of the environment in different localities.

The students age group is 6-9 year old. We would like to organise activities either in

Spanish, English or bilingual and share them with other schools around Europe.

GENERAL OBJECTIVEThe general objective is to make our students

and pupils aware of the environmental situation by involving them, their families and the educative community, promoting habits oriented towards the sustainability of the resources and the golden 3R rule: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.

PROCESS1- Make contact and get to know other

children from other countries 2- Describe the classroom, school, locality

and send emails and photos regularly3-Gather data through different resources4- Analyse the results 5- Present the results to other schools

through photos, emails, posters, power-point...

3 golden R's and we are Ready.We Recycle... starting in our classroom Here we are: blue for paper, yellow for plastics. Two small little card boxes, so we reuse and recycle. We are also trying to reduce the amount of rubbish we produce... not easy.
