INTRO by Debbie Elliott

UPDATES by Marie Stephenson

Debbie and I attended BGAD (Business General Aviation Day) at Cambridge last month. We managed to meet a lot of new clients who were not aware of the range of trai-ning we offered, as well as catching up with some familiar faces. Thank you to everyone who came by to see us and we look forward to working with you.

2013 is just around the corner ! We are currently working on our training schedule for next year and we hope to have this published the 1st week in October 2012. If you would like a copy of the schedule please send an email to [email protected] where a copy will be sent accordingly. Alternatively you can visit our website www.tagaviation.com/training where you will find the updated planner and all the information you need regar-ding our courses.

Our Initial Cabin Crew Attestation course has shown lots of interest but due to our minimum attendance require-ments we have not always been able to run the course. However we are running our final 2012 course from 10th December – 18th December and if you would like to reserve a space then please contact the team through the usual email address.

I would like to thank you all for your continued business this year and we look forward to seeing you again in 2013 !

Welcome to the October edition of e-Train

What a busy few months it has been since the last edition of e-Train. We enjoyed a suc-cessful and safe airshow here at Farnborough as well as hosting the Significant Seven Event for the CAA which was met with rave reviews.

TAG Global Training received another excellent outcome from our annual audit with the UK CAA, no findings again ! Thank you to all of the TAG Global team with the support of TAG Aviation as always.

We are in the process of working with a new manufacturer for the building and installation of our new Fire and Smoke rig. We hope to have this up and running for the first course in January. This project is a massive investment for us and after taking on all your feedback I know we

have come up with a design solution that is in keeping with our airport location as well as compliance from the perspective of the regulator.

Remember if you need a freelance flight attendant for that last minute flight or to cover short notice crew illness why not consider a TAG safety trained crew member. You all know how passionate I am about training cabin crew on biz jets, simply email [email protected] to register your interest.

This is the last edition of e-train for 2012, with lots of projects still on going any news updates will be sent to those of you on our mailing list.

As always our course availability can be found at www.tagaviation.com/training.

FEEDBACK

FROM A FREELANCE PILOT

Due to unforeseen illness, I needed to find a replacement pilot for my semi private ope-ration and needed him fully trained as soon as possible.

I contacted Debbie and she advised me of the ISBAO training package (less stringent than EU-OPS) that they offer to help me get my replacement compliant quickly.

Ed. Happy to help, even if you do not want to follow the full OPS requirements the ISBAO package is ideal for private ops training. We can always custom make training from the course catalogue for you.

FROM A POTENTIAL CREW MEMBER

I wanted to attend the Attestation course and after two attempts of trying to get on the course I have not managed to secure a place… why ?

Ed. I am sorry that you have not been able to attend the Attestation course; however we need a minimum amount of students to be able to run this course effectively. If we do not have enough students the course will have to be cancelled. As this is not a course we run every month the logistics of getting everyone in the same place at the same time is difficult. We hope in 2013 we will see Cabin Crew Training pick up.

We invite you to submit news and information, including photos, that you’d like us to consider for the next newsletter. The next edition will be published the 1st January 2013. Please send your submissions to [email protected]

CAPTAIN DAVE MACKAY

It’s been a busy year for the Training School with instruc-tors leaving and replacements joining ; constant revisions to course materials and the introduction of new courses. Debbie and her team have a full range of courses for both pilots and cabin crew which are all recently updated to

keep them relevant and fresh. The big news is the new Fire and Smoke training module which should be ready for the start of next year. This is purpose designed and

built for training business aviation crews so it should be relevant to all of us and highly effective. Thanks very much to all crew who have trained at TGT during this year and thanks also for all the useful feedback you have given us ; it really helps us to keep things fresh and up to date. I wish you all smooth skies and happy landings !
