Last week we mentioned that India is 74% Hindu and 14%Muslim. This week lets find out what do Muslims believe?
A Muslim is an adherent of Islam. There is no official creed to which one must adhere to be
considered a Muslim. All that is required is to believe and recitethe Shahada: "There is no God but God, and Muhammad is hisProphet." Beyond this core belief, however, Muslim doctrine is
often summarized in "Six Articles of Faith." Many Muslims believethat one must adhere to the six articles to be considered a Muslim.
Muslim Beliefs about GodThe single most important belief in Islam, and arguably the centraltheme of Islam, is that there is only one God. The name of God is
Allah, which is simply Arabic for "the (al) God (Ilah)." The term isrelated to Elohim, the Hebrew word for God.
Muslim Beliefs about Life and SalvationFor a Muslim, the object of life is to live in a way that is pleasingto Allah so that one may gain Paradise. It is believed that at
puberty, an account of each person's deeds is opened, and thiswill be used at the Day of Judgment to determine his eternal fate.
Muslim Beliefs about the AfterlifeLike Christianity, Islam teaches the continued existence of the souland a transformed physical existence after death. There will be a
day of judgment and humanity will be divided between the eternaldestinations of Paradise and Hell.
1Differences between Christianity and Islam
There are a lot of differences between Christianity andIslam. First, and foremost, the two different books, the Quran and
the Bible. Second, the two different founders, Mohammed and Jesus Christ. Third, the two different deities, the God of the Bible, and Allah of Islam. Fourth, the two different ways of salvation. The
way of Cain, which is salvation by works, and the way of God,which is salvation by grace alone. Fifth, two different standards of
life.

WLBC Praying for...EUROPEAN UNENGAGED PEOPLES
More than .5 million Armenians live and work in France. Yet as recently as 2010, there wereless than 150 known Armenian believers in the three evangelical Armenian churches in France.
Intercede for followers of Christ to arise with a desire and passion to impact Armenians inFrance with the Gospel. Petition the Lord to raise up intercessors who will faithfully go before
the Fathers throne through prayer on behalf of this unengaged, unreached people group.
