Abstract

Develop an application on an electronic agricultural market making the market more convenient for the use of farmer. Also collects the current price of the product and notify the farmer.


Introduction

• Agriculture in India has a significant history. Today, India ranks second worldwide in farm output.

• Agricultural marketing involves in its simplest form the buying and selling of agricultural produce. In olden days when the village economy was more or less self-sufficient the marketing of agricultural produce presented no difficulty as the farmer sold his produce to the consumer on a cash or barter basis.


Drawbacks Of Existing System

• Book keeping and reporting system

• Lack of prompt availability of information, reports & analysis to the stake holders

• Instant display of Mandi rates

• Tedious for farmers


Proposed System

1. Objectives

• The main objective of this application is to build a website which will help the framer to get the best from his inputs.

• Availability of up-to-date information on rates in various state Mandis.

• Choice to decide when and where to sell.


2. Functionalities of Proposed Model

• People can register to have a complete view of the agriculture market prices

• Feedback or complaint facilities directly connected to government bodies to keep a view on the market and mentioning the unique id of the complainer

• It will be available in regional language

• Ensures display of daily market rate updates to registered users through SMS

• Provides Government Warehouse information and booking facility to registered users

Conclusion

There are trends to indicate that the transformation of agricultural information systems in India is occurring. This application provides availability of rates in various Mandis help to give good rates to farmers. Transportation losses reduced after e-agriculture marketing.
