For the pre- & post tour options, we suggest the following 3 options. All the tours are based on 2

Pax minimum doing the tour and driving themselves in a rental vehicle. The routings are all very

simple and guests would receive a full itinerary from us with details of exactly which roads to

take, etc. Most of our international individual travellers travel this way and find this a

particularly satisfying way of getting to know this country.

Option 1 : Pre – Tour to Kruger Park including the Panorama Route

For this tour, guests would arrive in Johannesburg and from there fly to Kruger Mpumalanga

Airport (KMIA). Here they take their rental vehicle and travel to their first stop, the beautiful

Cybele Lodge just outside Hayzview. They also have the chance to travel along the naturally

beautiful Panorama Route before visiting the stunning UluSaba Lodge in the Sabi Sands Reserve

(adjacent to Kruger Park) for a true safari experience.

CYBELE FOREST LODGE & SPA Cybele Forest Lodge is situated, deep in the forest, far into the mountains, near the farming town White River. The farms in the region produce tropical fruits, vegetables, flowers and timber. In the centre, the Lodge is a charming old farmhouse with a wide verandah where you can sip sundowners whilst looking out over the magnificent gardens, where Turpentine trees, Jacaranda, Tibouchina, Bluegum trees and the African flame trees grow. The main house is furnished throughout with antiques, art and exquisite fabrics, and consists of a bar, lounge and a verandah, Jacuzzi, gymnasium and spa, sauna and swimming pool.

Cybele offers accommodation for 28 guests in 12 individually furnished rooms/suites, each with

aprivate bathroom, mini bar, tea/coffee making facility, fireplace, TV and air-conditioning.

Some rooms have a private veranda and plunge pool, others feature an outside shower, lounge

and sun terrace. Each Cottage has it's own private, walled garden.

The food, a combination of French and traditional English, is supervised by internationally

experienced chefs and only the best and the freshest of ingredients is used. A full buffet

breakfast, followed by a traditional English breakfast is served each morning (included).

Table d 'Hote dinner menu is presented every evening and you may choose to dine between

19h30 and 21h00 (not included). Pre-dinner snacks are served from 19h00 until 20h45 in the

main house (not included). Lunch is a là carte (not included), served either in the gardens under

the trees, in the dining room or in the privacy of your room.

ULUSABA ROCK LODGE Sabi Sands, formed in 1934, is the oldest of all the private reserves and part of the largest conservation area in Southern Africa. It is also part of the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park.

It is home to a number of endangered species, which include the Wild Dog, Bats, 10 of the species are on the endangered list, Honey Badgers, Oxpeckers and the Ground Hornbill. The Rock Lodge is located on a cliff face 244 metres above the Sabi Sand Reserve, with breathtaking and sweeping panoramic views of the African bushlands. The rooms are built "treehouse style", with wooden walk ways and swinging bridges on the banks of the dry Mabrak Riverbed. The lodge offers 2 Makwela Suites, 4 Rock Cliff rooms, a Rock Suite and a Master Suite. Each room/suite has a ceiling fan, air-conditioning, bathroom and a private deck. The 2 Makwela suites are built on 2 levels, with private balconies and heated plunge pools.

Dinners are served in the rock-faced dining room or in the boma. Your stay is on a full-board basis. An infinity pool, with its natural waterfall, is the ideal location to enjoy the tranquility of the African bush. The main lodge also has a DVD-, video-, music- and book library. A laundry service is offered. Early morning and late afternoon game drives are conducted in an open safari vehicle, with an experienced ranger and tracker. Option 2 : Post – Tour along the Garden Route to Port Elizabeth

For this short tour, the rental vehicle will be delivered to Westin and the guests depart from there

and drive first to Knysna for a night stay and then onwards to Gorah Elephant Park located

within the borders of the Addo National Park.

We included this tour, because guests might want to visit Port Elizabeth, which they can do

either before or after the safari stay depending on their plans.

Gorah Elephant Camp is a beautiful camp with romantic Hemingway tent style accommodation,

but on solid raised bases. Having a concession in the Addo National Park, most of the safari

drives are done in the Park, but also on the lodge’s own traversing concession.

KANONKOP GUEST HOUSE (AFRICA IN FOCUS) Kanonkop Guest House is siutated in Knysna on the edge of Kanonkop hill with uninterrupted views of the Knysna Lagoon and Heads. The lodge offers 4 rooms, each individually decorated, three of them with an en-suite bathroom, one directly across a very quiet narrow passage. The Paradise suite leads out onto a private juliet balcony with breathtaking views. The Sivuyile and No Matata suites open out through double sliding doors to an expansive sundeck. The rooms have fantastic views over the garden and swimming pool and out towards the Knysna Lagoon and Heads in the distance. GORAH ELEPHANT CAMP Located in the heart of the Big 5 Addo Elephant Park in the malaria-free Eastern Cape, Gorah was the first private concession ever awarded in a South African National Park. Near the Zuurberg mountain range in the dense, indigenous bushveld of the Sunday's River Valley, the 14000 hectare fenced park was proclaimed in 1931 to preserve the last remaining survivors of the once large herds of elephant that roamed the Eastern Cape. Hunted almost to extinction, these herds have gradually flourished and Addo now boasts the highest density of elephant on earth. It is also home to other big game such as lion, rhino, buffalo and leopard, as well as numerous species of antelope and small game. For birding enthusiasts, Addo has 320 recorded bird species. Gorah House, a national monument, is an old farmhouse, established in 1856, and houses the main lodge.

Accomodation consists of 11 free-standing luxury safari tents, each with an en-suite bathroom, ceiling fans, and a wooden deck, with panoramic views across the endless savannah plains. Other facilities include solar-powered lights. Delicious gourmet cuisine is served either in the elegant, softly lit dining rooms of the Main House or on the old-style verandah overlooking the waterhole or, weather permitting, under the stars in the open boma. Your stay is on a full-board basis. The natural rock swimming pool is the perfect place to beat the African heat, otherwise simply relax on the sun decks or in the shade of Gorah House's porches and patios. Option 3 : Post – Tour with Winelands & Safari

This is a second option to experience safari but without driving too far from Cape Town. We’ve

included a day in the winelands in the stunning Majeka House just outside Stellenbosch and the

guests would drive to Sanbona Game Reserve, which is a roughly 3 hours from Stellenbosch.

After the safari visit in Sanbona they would return to Cape Town and fly out of Cape Town

again.

In this itinerary, the vehicle would also be delivered to the Westin Cape Town.
