This week News 2 You is about Irwin Family Helps Animals. At school, we read the article

together and do two worksheets. The first worksheet we do is Choose the pictures about Irwin

Family Helps Animals. The second worksheet is answering the 3 comprehension questions

on the next page. What I do is read them the question and cut out 2 of the pictures to give them

2 choices for each question. Try it at home using the link below.

Daily Home Activities

Color Hunt

The color of the week:

YELLOW

Walk around the house and try to find 3-5 things that are YELLOW and 3-5 things that are not

YELLOW. Show your child 1 YELLOW object and 1 that is not YELLOW. Ask them to touch the

object that is YELLOW.

Don’t forget to CELEBRATE their successes!

Color Sort

The color of the week:

YELLOW

Collect items that are YELLOW and not YELLOW. Grab 2 bowls or baskets to place the items.

Tell your child we are going to put all the YELLOW items in one bowl and all the other items not

YELLOW in the other bowl. Give your child one item at a time to sort. You can do hand over

hand the first time to introduce the lesson.

Don’t forget to CELEBRATE their successes!

Object identification

Collect objects that they come into contact with daily: book, toothbrush,

shirt, shoe, bowl, marker, glue stick, paper, ball, food, favorite toy.

Give them a selection of two objects and ask them to identify one.

segunda hoja de trabajo responde a las 3 preguntas de comprensión en la página siguiente. Lo

que hago es leerles la pregunta y cortar 2 de las imágenes para darles 2 opciones para cada
