e-Learn Beauty Solutions (EBS)What is EBS?

- EBS is The Premier Source for Online Beauty Education

What do we do?

- School profiles – similar to beautyschooldirectory.com we create searchable (by area and course type) beauty school website and information profiles. However unlike beautyschooldirectory.com we do not charge a lead fee. Profiles are listed and leads generated are sent directly to the school. Fees for profile pages are only a small monthly amount. Also, EBS school profiles are much more in-depth and far more interactive for students. Profiles include; school pictures, virtual tours, message from the school president or director, student testimonials, course information and a contact form. Students are encouraged to contact the school directly for further information or application. The benefits of this type of school profiling is to save on the costs of paying for lead generation and cutting out the middle man collecting lead information.

- Creation of online training programs – for schools that are interested EBS will also create their own online courses. These will be interactive and comprehensive courses based on the exact course content the school is already teaching. Each school receives its own website with its own student enrollment, courses, and testing centre. Daily, weekly and monthly reports will be generated and schools can choose to monitor their students themselves or have EBS provide this service on their behalf. Monitoring includes, answering students queries, marking tests, and enrolling and registering students.

- The Industry Insider – An online magazine for beauty professionals. This quarterly magazine will feature editorial and advertising from the beauty industry.

- Collect student contact information for marketing purposes – students must register on the website prior to being given any access to information or any component of the EBS site. They agree through terms and conditions to be sent marketing information – until such a time that they opt to unsubscribe to the EBS site.

- Resource Centre for beauty education – this area of the site will contain articles and other valuable information for students to access like a library (see issuu.com)

Outline of the EBS HOME web page

www.elearnbeautysolutions.comDesign – template ideas I’m fairly open to but key elements are: I would like the ‘e-learn Beauty Solutions’ to be in chrome colour and Flash format with the “e” rotating once or twice then spelling out “–beauty solutions”And then ‘The Premier Source for Online Beauty Education’ to be the slogan appearing underneath

Three key images that are going to be used and to draw design ideas from

These images indicate that we deal with all facets of beauty education.

There should be a SWF that students can click on on the HOME page content area that plays a swf about how the site works and a welcome message. Other then this no portion of the site should be accessible unless students register and activate accounts.

I need an EBS Certified School Seal created similar to what exists on the TAOND home page of the website, but actually nice!! This seal should be located somewhere on the HOME page. This seal is also something that each individual school will put on their webpage that links back to their online school program, so students can link to EBS from the school’s site as well. This seal is the indication of a level of service and standard that only EBS schools can have.

Student registration and account activation is FREE. Students must agree to TERMS & CONDITIONS which will include that they agree to receive marketing material from EBS until such a time that they opt to unsubscribe and then they will be removed from any email list. Email marketing will come in 2 forms for students who have not yet purchased an online program and for those that are currently enrolled.

FunctionsHome page menu (order may change – see below for more in depth description of each menu item). Each one of these may have a picture similar to the TAOND left hand side menu. I just want a really beautiful look Student RegistrationSearch SchoolsSearch ProgramsIndustry InsiderFAQsStudent Resource CentreBecome an EBS Certified SchoolContact Us

Student Registration – This should be a nice big START NOW type of button that is attractive and draws the eye for students to click on. Once clicked they have to complete a registration form then activate their account – by activating their accounts they are agreeing to receive marketing material from EBS and they will have the ability to unsubscribe at any time to this service. Activated accounts will have access to log in to the website and view all functions. Registered student info will be kept in a database for future emailing ability. We’ll need an email marketing service like constantcontact.com or if Joomla has a similar function.

Search Schools and Search Programs – these two may be the same - not sure at this moment. There will be drop down boxes where student narrow their search by country, state/province, city – we may want to add program search as part of the criteria here – not sure – perhaps having a menu link that is Search programs and then gives a brief description of the outline of what a ‘waxing’ program entails is a better idea.

Once all their criteria is entered then a search brings up the school profile that best suits their needs. I would like to be able to collect information from this search function for areas where we currently have no schools so that a report can be generated saying that “100 students have asked us if you have an online program. Contact EBS today for more information on how to become a EBS Certified School”

Each EBS School will have its own school profile. This profile will contain; pictures of the school, virtual tour of the school, message from the president or director of the school, student testimonials, and an email form that is sent directly to the school, not EBS then the school.

I also want to be able to generate reports on how many students are looking at the school’s profile.

We need to explore how exactly we are going to create each individual school’s online program section. There should be a master log in or will there be a sub-log in off the EBS home page for students to access their school’s online program? Should we have a separate log area for students that directly links to the chosen school?

Paying ???? I do not want to be responsible for collecting payment for students taking online courses then remitting to each individual school. We need to figure out how to get the funds directly to the school. I doubt each school will set up a Pay pal account. They could register students over the phone or in person and then once funds are received grant them the access codes to their programs.

Industry Insider - will be a link to my online 3-d page flipping magazine – this will be updated quarterly

FAQs – simple FAQ content page addressing student queries

Student Resource Centre – accessible to registered students – I’d like to incorporate the look of issuu to have it look like a library shelf, where students can browse through categories and open up and read industry related articles (3-d page turning articles) or books. Perhaps also have a student discussion forum here – I just don’t want to be monitoring it. I would also like to have a job posting board and a BUY and SELL posting capabilities here, where students can browse and post ads. I will monitor that.

Become an EBS Certified School – this is a general info page with a small amount of content or a swf video and then contact information – telephone number and an e-mailable form for schools to fill out and submit for a EBS representative to call them.

Contact us – Simple info page with an [email protected] submission link – no google maps!!
