Christmas Gift Card Project! The First Baptist Church Christmas Gift Card Project asks you to purchase as many $25 gift cards from Walmart or Target as you are led and place each one in one of the holders on the trees. These $25 gift cards will be distributed to the Hurricane Florence victims in the Wilmington area through a partnership program. We will be collecting cards until December 31.

PROFESSION OF FAITH & BAPTISMAsher Powell

All FBC adult meal prices will go up $1.00 effective January 1, 2019. This is to offset the rising cost of food and equipment.

A Gift for You!On January 13th, we have a wonderful gift planned for you! In order to receive this free gift, we must have your email on file. So contact the church office and provide or update your email in anticipation of this day. Merry Christmas!

What Is Worship Care? Worship Care is one of our important ministries for families with preschool age children. During worship services parents can bring their preschool age children to the Preschool Building where they will encounter loving adults who will rock, feed, change, teach, and play with each child on the child’s developmental level. This ministry is supported by volunteers from our congregation. Our volunteers have background checks completed and are supported by our Preschool and Children’s ministry team. All resources and supplies are carefully crafted and gathered for our volunteers to use each week and the resources support what our children learn during their Sunday School hour.Do you know how many volunteers it takes to fully staff each classroom each week? It takes 624 adults for the entire year. We have 2 classrooms with 2 leaders each at 8:30, and 4 classrooms with 2 leaders each at 11:00. If every volunteer would be willing to work twice a month that equals 312. At this point in our recruiting for January-December 2019, we need 60 volunteers to provide this important ministry without having to combine classrooms. Please consider contacting and talking with Melissa about the opportunities you have to be a child’s first encounter with a loving, caring, teaching, example of Christ. You can reach Melissa at [email protected] or 706-733-2236 ext. 209, or leave your information with Leah [email protected] or 706-733-2236 ext. 216 and Melissa will get in touch with you.
