    The TIRP command contact remains closed - the CB closingcircuit remains open until reset

    It is used to:

    - output the TRIP command continuously- disable the CLOSE command

    Only upon acknowledgement is the latched command reset.

    Latching takes place:- in the SW of the protection device ( SIPROTEC 4)- via separated lock-out relays which are mechanically linked.

    Reset: electrically or hand reset

    The trip circuit is monitored as to:- Presence of the control voltage- Interruption in the wiring- Interruption in the trip coil of the CB

    Supervision takes place:- in the protection device via BI ( advantage of self-monitoringand oscillographic record with time stamp)

    - with separated special monitoring relays

    The trip-circuit supervision is possible for phase-selectivetripping and / or three-phase tripping
