1 Introduction

1.1 Overview Honeywell’s DynAMo® Operations Suite (DOS) R211.2 includes the DynAMo Operations Logbook (DOL), DynAMo Operations Tasks (DOT), DynAMo Operations Monitoring (DOM) and DynAMo Operations Instructions (DOI) applications.

DynAMo® Operations Logbook helps personnel across the plant who work together to achieve greater operational reliability. The electronic log consolidates information from different sources to provide a consistent and up-to-date view of key process data, problems, operating plans, and shift log. A well-designed shift summary report is the basis for an effective and secure shift handover that is critical to efficiently and safely operate your facilities.

DynAMo Operations Monitoring (DOM) application enables your operations team to keep the process in the safe and profitable best operating zone. DOM proactively monitors plant processes, ensuring that the operations safely stay within optimal production envelopes, and ensuring the integrity of the operating windows. With tools designed to manage and control critical limits and process deviations, DOM boosts the reliability, safety, and efficiency of plant operations.

DynAMo Operations Tasks (DOT) is a new capability which enables users (Operations planners, Supervisors, Operators, and so on.) in managing the routine and ad hoc tasks that operation’s team members are required to execute each shift. DOT also introduces a Meeting functionality that allows users to capture the notes and actions of operations meetings to be tracked with the new Task capability. An Instruction applies to some part of a process plant, which may be the entire plant, or a process unit, or a single piece of equipment. An instruction has a start and end date, some notes providing information, and target details (optional). Each target has a minimum, maximum, and/or focus values for the process data. For example, a target detail can define a minimum and maximum range for a temperature, or a desired (focus) production rate, or minimum product quality. The numerical targets such as low, high and focus values are called Limits. These limits can be downloaded, and can be used for monitoring using the operations Monitoring application

Limit Repository (LR) is a software component in BFlex OM Pro suites as well as DOS applications used to integrate the DOS applications. The Limit Repository provides a comprehensive view of limits from many applications, making it possible to see the limits together and in context, regardless of source.

2 Release Overview

2.1 New features

Following are the features added in the current release.

Enhancements in DOI


Instructions can be viewed in the Grid view. In the Grid view, you can:

• filter the instructions based on the type • enter/update the plan note • update the limit values • update the start and end times for the draft

instructions • sort assets by column • perform bulk operations on the instructions with same

status

Enhancements in DOM


Monitoring trend display is enhanced to display the graph based on the steps performed at each stage rather than displaying the linear view for both monitored and raw values.

While defining variables, the field ‘Actions’ is renamed as ‘Inside Actions’ and a new field ‘Outside Actions’ is added. Outside actions are posted from ACM and are used by the field operators. For more details, refer to the latest ACM guides.

2.2 Special Considerations

Following are the special considerations identified in the current release.

After viewing the trend for a target from the summary page, if you try to view the trend for a different target from the deviation page, the trend is displayed for the target selected in the summary page but not for the target selected in the deviation page.

If you copy a table from the excel into the Logbook Comments or Instructions Plan Note pages, the borders for the copied table are not displayed.

After copying table from excel or word, if you press Backspace button, the cursor selection still does not come out of the table.

While copying a table from the excel, make sure you copy one cell more on all sides of the table.

If you minimize the Target configuration pages below the supported resolution, the controls in the UI might overlap.

Do not minimize the target configuration pages beyond the minimum supported resolution.

The user interface screens of DynAMo Operations Suite are best viewed with a screen resolution of 1200px x 800px or higher.

CAM Scope permissions are not applicable for the DOS applications.

You must disable Intuition>Common Asset Model> Scope Permission for all the roles.

The shift summary report displays overlapping data in the PDF.

If you are configuring multiple snippets per row, ensure that the cumulative widths of all the snippets must be less than the width of an A4 size sheet.

Tip: You can use the Preview option to view and adjust the widths of the snippets.

The trend graphs are not displayed.

You must have security permission ‘view monitoring configuration operation’ to view the trend graphs.

In the log book shift reports, the remarks option is disabled for the table snippets that do not have a unique key.

While selecting columns to associate them with comments, you must ensure that the selected columns form a unique key. For more details, refer to the DOL configuration guide.



In Monitoring application, after adding the remarks to a deviation, the respective alert generated for that deviation must be removed from Alert client automatically. But, the alert is not getting removed from the alert client.

In the Application server, perform the following:

1. Browse to <Install

2. Open the web.config file. 3. Search for the key

4. Save the file.

2.3 Requirements/Issues Addressed in this Release At the time of this release, the following issues are fixed.

2.4 Documentation Updates/Additional Information The documentation updates for the current release have been updated in this document. The BFlex-DOS Migration document is also updated and delivered in this release.


3 Installation This section describes how to install the current patch.

3.1 Prerequisites You must have DOS R211.1 installed in the machine.

3.2 Preinstall tasks

3.2.1 Stop the Honeywell services NOTE: In case of multi-server scenario, this step must be performed in the application server. If you are upgrading from previous releases, then you have to stop the following services. To stop the services, perform the following steps.

1. Choose Start>Run and type services.msc and click OK. The Services window appears.

2. Right-click the following services:

• Honeywell Intuition Operations Monitoring HDA Target Service • Honeywell Intuition Operations Monitoring DA Target Service • Honeywell Intuition Limit Repository Core Sync Scheduler • Honeywell Intuition Event Processing Service

3. Click Stop.

3.2.2 Stop the font services In case of three server-scenario, perform the following steps in the web server:

1. Choose Start>Run and type ‘services.msc’ and click OK. The Services window appears.

2. Right-click the service Windows Font Cache Service and click Disable.

3.3 Order of Installation The following applications/components must be installed in the same order as mentioned.

1. Install DOS R211.2 patch.

• Common Asset Model (CAM) must be installed in all servers.

• Select only the applications that are previously installed.

2. Install the core components.

3.4 Installing DOS R211.2 patch In case of multi-server scenario, you must perform this step in all the servers. To install the current release, perform the following steps:

1. Copy the DOS R211.2 release media to the current server. Henceforth, the location is called Copied Path. Note: It is not recommended to copy the release media on the desktop.


2. In the copied path, browse to the folder DOS R211.2. 3. Right-click the file ‘setup.exe’ and then select ‘Run as administrator’.

The Welcome page appears. 4. Click Next.

The Patch Details page is displayed. Only the components that are installed as part of R211.1 are enabled to get upgraded to R211.2. Select the check boxes of the components that you want to upgrade to R211.2. Note: You must install Honeywell Common Asset Model in all the servers.

5. Click Next. The Summary page is displayed listing all the applications selected for the installation.

6. Click Finish. After installing DOS R211.2, a message is displayed informing the installation is successful.

3.4.1 Installing core components In case of multi-server scenario, you must perform this step in all the servers. To install the core components, perform the following steps:

1. Copy the DOS R211.2 release media to the current server. Henceforth, the location is called Copied Path. Note: It is not recommended to copy the release media on the desktop.

2. In the copied path, browse to the folder <copied path>\DOSR211.2\Patches\Core System R280.5 Point Release.

3. Right-click the file ‘MES_Update_Manager.exe’ and then select ‘Run as administrator’. The Welcome Intuition Core System R280.5 page appears.

4. Click Install. After installing the core component, a message is displayed informing the installation is successful.

3.4.2 Installing client components In the current release, the excel add-in client components are updated. You must install these updates in the client machine. You can skip this section if you are using only DOM popup alert client. No changes are made for the DOM popup alert client. Prerequisite

• DOS R211.1 client is installed in the machine To install the client components, perform the following steps:

1. Copy the DOS R211.2 release media to the current server. Henceforth, the location is called Copied Path. Note: It is not recommended to copy the release media on the desktop

2. In the copied path, browse to the folder DOS R211.2. 3. Right-click the file ‘setup.exe’ and then select ‘Run as administrator’.


The Welcome page appears. 4. Click Next.

The Patch Details page is displayed. Only the components that are installed as part of R211.1 are enabled to be upgraded to R211.2. Select the check boxes of the DOS client components that you want to upgrade to R211.2.

5. Click Next. The Summary page is displayed listing all the applications selected for the installation.


6. Click Finish.

After installing DOS R211.2 client components, a message is displayed informing the installation is successful.

3.5 Post installation tasks This section lists the tasks that must be performed after installing DOS R211.2.

3.5.1 Enable windows font cache service In case of three server-scenario, perform the following steps in the web server:

1. Choose Start>Run and type ‘services.msc’ and click OK. The Services window appears.

2. Right-click a service and click Enable. • Windows Font Cache Service • Honeywell Intuition Operations Monitoring HDA Target Service • Honeywell Intuition Operations Monitoring DA Target Service • Honeywell Intuition Limit Repository Core Sync Scheduler • Honeywell Intuition Event Processing Service

3.5.2 Copy the files In case of three server-scenario, perform the following steps in the web server:

1. Browse to the folder <R211.2 Media>PostInstall, copy the file AssetHierarchy.cshtml. 2. Replace the file in the following location <Install

Path>:Honeywell\MES\Task\UI\WebUI\Views\AssetHierarchy\. In case of three server-scenario, perform the following steps in the application server:

1. Browse to the folder <R211.2 Media>PostInstall, copy the file Honeywell.MES.Service.Task.TaskRuntime.BusLogic.dll.

2. Replace the file in the following location <Install Path>: \Honeywell\MES\Task\Service\TaskRuntime\1.0\bin\.


3.5.3 Run the security configuration xml This task is required only for high availability scenarios. You must perform this task in one of the application server.

1. Browse to the folder <R211.2 Media>\PostInstall>, open the file

‘CAMSecurityConfiguration’. 2. You must update the database ‘[Honeywell.Intuition.Base].[Security].[VersionInfo]’ to

132.0. Note: In case of custom database, you must update the value for the custom database.

3. Run the CAMSecurityConfiguration.xml file using MESSecurityConfigLoader.exe in Command prompt.

Command to run the files cd "<{ MESSecurityConfigLoader.exe folder path}>" MESSecurityConfigLoader.exe /configFile:{CAMSecurityConfiguration.xml path}

Sample command cd "<C:\Users\H258826\Downloads\Honeywell_Intuition_Core_System_R280.1\CoreSyste m\MES\DataDrivenExe>" MESSecurityConfigLoader.exe /configFile:C:\Temp\CAMSecurityConfiguration.xml.

3.5.4 Run the SSRS script This section is applicable only for the users with SQL Server 2016. Skip this section if you are using earlier versions of SQL Server. In case of three-server scenario, you must perform this task in the database server.

1. Browse to the folder <R211.2 Media>\PostInstall>, open the file ‘SSRS Report Script’. 2. In the script file, update the values for the following parameters:

• ReportServerName: Fully qualified name of the server in which SSRS reports are configured.

• ServerInstanceName: The SQL server connection instance name. • Protocol: The protocol configuration of the site, HTTP or HTTPS. • PortNo: Port number of the SSRS report server.

3. Run the script in the DOS database server. 4. Perform the IISRESET in both Web and Application servers.

3.5.5 Deploy the configuration file In case of three-server scenario, you must perform this step in the Web server. Perform the following steps:

1. Browse to the folder <R211.2 Media>\PostInstall>, copy the file ‘LogBook.CommonFunctions.js’.


2. Replace the file in the following location: <Install Path>\Honeywell\MES\Logbook\UI\WebUI\Scripts.

3.5.6 Clear the cache After upgrading to R211.2, the browser cache retains the pre-upgrade details such as UI icons, java scripts and so on. You must refresh the cache in the client machines.

4 Localization You must use the latest DLLs delivered with the current release to localize the DOS applications.

To use the latest DLLs, perform the following steps:

For Monitoring application

Copy the DLLs from the following R211.2 media location • \DOSR211.2\Patches\Monitoring R211.2> Point Release\Localization

Replace them in DOM R211 media in the following location

• DOMR211\Localization\Operation Monitoring\Source

For DOI application Copy the DLLs from the following R211.2 media location

• DOSR211.2\Patches\Instruction R211.2> Point Release\Localization

Replace them in DOI R211 media in the following location • DOIR211\Localization\Operation Instructions\Source

For Logbook application

Copy the DLLs from the following R211.2 media location • DOSR211.2\Patches\Logbook R211.2 Point Release\Localization

Replace them in DOL R211 media in the following location

• DOLR211\Localization\Operation Logbook\Source

For Opmgmt service Copy the DLLs from the following DOS R211.2 media location

• DOSR211.2\Patches\Instruction R211.2 Point Release\Localization

Replace them in both DOM and DOL R211 media in the following locations respectively • DOMR211\Localization\OPMgmt\Source\ • DOLR211\Localization\OPMgmt\Source\


4.1 Post localization task This step must be performed only if you have localized DOS to another language. You can skip this section if you are using DOS standard version. For example, if you have translated DOS to Korean language, you must perform this step.

1. Open Control Panel.

2. Click Clock, Language, and Region.

3. Click Region and Language. 4. Click the Formats tab. 5. From the Format drop-down list, select the required language such as Korean. 6. Click Apply. 7. Click OK to save the changes.


5 Usage This section describes how to use the new features added in the current release.

5.1 Sorting Asset order By default, new assets are sorted based on the alpha-numeric values. The sites, that need to view the assets in the connected flow rather than the alpha-numeric values, can reorder the assets by dragging and dropping the assets or providing the asset sequence in the asset configuration excel. The assets without any value are displayed first followed by the assets with values. After sorting the orders, the shift rotation of the new parent asset is applicable for the moved child assets.

To sort the Asset order, perform the following steps:

1. Open the DOS application. 2. Under Operations group, click Configurations > Asset configuration.

The Asset configuration window appears. In the right pane, under the Hierarchy Tree group, the Asset hierarchies are displayed.

3. Drag-and-drop the assets based on your requirement.

To sort the Asset order using excel add-in, perform the following steps:

1. Open the Asset configuration excel add-in. 2. In the Asset_Hierarchy sheet, provide the sorting order (value) under Sort Order column

for each asset. By default, the assets without values (null) are displayed first followed by the numeric values.


3. Click Publish. 4. Upload the configuration excel add-in sheet. For more details, refer to any of the DOS

configuration guides.

5.2 Setting asset preferences in Roll-up comments snippet Roll-up comments snippet is enabled to set the asset preferences. Only the preferred asset details are displayed in the roll-up comments snippet rather than displaying all the assets. After setting the asset preferences, the preference details are saved and retrieved for all the users of that roll- up comment snippet.

Prerequisites You must have the following permissions assigned to your role to set the asset preferences. Note: By default, these permissions are enabled when you install DOS R211.2.

• Opmgmt > Asset Preference Personalization.


• Logbook > View ShiftSummary.

Configuring Asset Preference

To configure asset preference for a roll-up comment, perform the following steps: 1. Select an asset in the Asset Tree.

2. In Asset column of rollup snippet, click the filter icon . The Asset filter popup displays the child assets of the selected asset.


3. Select the check boxes of the assets to mark them as preferred assets. 4. Click Save filter to save the preferences.

The asset preferences are saved.

5. Click the Clear Filter to clear the asset preferences.

Disabling Asset Preferences

Asset Preference can be disabled by removing the “Asset Preference Personalization” security Operation permission for the corresponding role.


5.3 Adding tables in the Comments Editor The comments editor is now enhanced to add the tables for both asset comments and comment snippet.

To add a table, perform the following steps:

1. In the Logbook application, click Console and navigate to the Shift Summary or Comments tab. Invoke the asset comments popup or launch a shift summary with a comment snippet in it. For more details, refer to the DOL user’s guide.

2. Click on the Table Wizard icon available in the rich text editor or copy-and-paste the table data to the editor.


• To quickly insert a table, click on the Table Wizard icon and move the cursor over the grid until you highlight the number of columns and rows you want to create.

OR

• Click the Table Wizard option to enter the number of columns and rows

you want to create. Note : You can also add width, height, borders, border color, border style, and so on to the table using the Table Wizard option.

5.4 Working on Instructions in Grid view In the Instructions console, the default display of the instructions is changed to grid view from the tile view. In the grid view, you can modify the details of the instructions if the instruction is in draft state and is not being used by other users. Note: When you expand and edit an Instruction, you must save the Instruction details first to perform any other actions such as submit, schedule and so on. Alternatively, you can collapse the Instruction and then select the Instruction row to perform these actions. For information on Instructions, refer DynAMo Operation Instructions user guide. To update the Instructions in the grid view, perform the following steps:

1. Open the Instructions application. The instructions are displayed in a grid view. Note: You can filter the instructions based on their type by clicking on the Type column.

• icon indicates the limit instruction.

• icon indicates the text instruction.

Note: The icons displayed in the Status column indicate the status of the instruction and the action needs to be performed. For example, overdue instruction is indicated by the

icon . For details on the icons, refer to the DOM user’s guide.

2. Click on an instruction to select it. When an instruction is selected, all instructions with status other than the selected instruction status are disabled. The action icons list is updated based on the status of the selected instruction.


3. You can select multiple instructions with same status to perform actions on all the selected instructions at the same time.

4. The Instructions can be sorted in alphabetical order. You can sort in ascending order (A to Z) or in descending order (Z to A). If you click the name of any column: • Once – the table is sorted in ascending order. • Twice – the table is sorted in descending order. • Thrice – the table is set to the default view.

5. Click the expand icon to update the details of an instruction. Note: When an instruction is expanded by a user, the instruction is locked for that user until the user closes the instruction. The locked instructions cannot be edited by other users. Update the following details for the selected instruction: • Text instructions: Start time, End time, and Plan note. • Limit instructions: Start time, End time, Plan note, and the Limit values.

6. Click Save to update the changes.

7. In the Console page, click on the icon to view the instructions in the tile view.

5.5 Monitoring trend display changes Monitoring trend graph is enhanced to display the graph based on the steps performed at each stage rather than displaying the linear view. The trend graph enhancements are applicable for both monitored and raw value trends.

1. In the DOS home page, click Monitoring. 2. Click the Summary tab. 3. In the Summary tab, select a target for which you want to view the trend. 4. Click Trend tab.

The trend is displayed based on the changes made at each step rather than the linear graph.


5.6 Adding inside and outside actions in Limit Repository (LR) Console operators and field operators refer the inside and outside actions respectively for bringing the operating deviations within safe operating zone. The outside actions are mainly used by field operators, this value is retrieved from LR configuration, excel add-in bulk configuration, or external applications (ACM).

Special consideration: ACM LR synchronization service retrieves all the details from the ACM server except the outside actions. For information on Limit Repository and Configuring Variables in Limit Repository, refer Limit Repository user and configuration guides.
