Function overview

• One-touch button for recording and playing, high quality recoding. • VOR/VAR function: Voice operated/activated recording. • Three recording modes: • LP: long recording SP: Standard recording (SP recording mode is

defaulted as VAR) HP: high quality recording • Built-in high grade microphone and louder speaker. • Recording monitor function. • Sectional automatic break & repeat from A to B • Record telephone conversations, external microphone input recording

and record audio via line-in. • LCD screen with green backlight • Drive free USB flash disk function. • Work as MP3 Music player • FM radio (Selectable) • Low-battery indication function. • Playing the selected files. Pause playing. Delete the selected files.

Volume adjusting, automatic break recording. • Time setting function.

Precautions

• Please change the batteries in time when the low-battery indication shows on the screen.

• Please switch off the recorder before removing or changing batteries. Otherwise it may cause frozen problem of the recorder or the losses of the information.

• Please don’t mix-use different batteries. Please take out the batteries if you are not using the recorder for a Hold and . It is for the purpose of avoiding the damage of the inner parts of the recorder by leak of batteries.

• Please read the instruction manual carefully before use. Please keep it away from moisture and high temperature, and don’t put it near the fire.

• Please avoid strong vibration or shocks when using the recorder. Do not press the screen forcefully. Otherwise it may cause damage of the LCD screen and abnormal display.

• If there’s any problem with the recorder, please contact with our company or your local distributor. Please don’t disassemble or replace the internal parts yourself.

• Please backup the files before sending the recorder for repair. We are not responsible for the lost of files which caused by repair or other reasons.

Turn on: Open the battery case and install the batteries in correct direction “+” “-”. The screen will lighten up in 3 seconds, the recorder is turned on.

★ If the recorder is in the power-off mode. Hold and press “ ” button (1) to

turn on the recorder.

If there’s no recording file in the recorder, the recorder will automatically enter in the main menu. The screen will show like below:

(Recording playing mode) If there are recording files in the recorder, the recorder will automatically enter into the playing (recording file) standby mode. Screen shows:

Turn off: Hold and press “ ” button (1) in the standby mode, screen shows

“OFF”, the recorder is turned off.

Low battery indication function:

Recorder will show if the battery is low. The recorder will automatically

save the present recording file and automatically turn off within 30 seconds if you do not replace the batteries.

Attention:Please do not take out the batteries during recording. It may

cause the loss of recorded messages and could cause the recorder to freeze due to corruption occuring. The frozen mode caused by misuse should be formatted on the computer. The recorder can only be used normally after formatting. Please select FAT system while formatting the recorder. Record with one-touch button: Press “REC” button at defaulted mode to start recording.

Screen shows , the recorder enters in SP recording mode. It begins

recording.

Please Note: SP recording mode is the defaulted recording mode in the recorder. And it is also defaulted as Voice Activated Recording. The sensitivity of VAR can be adjusted according to the sound source.

Adjusting the sensitivity of VAR: After entering the SP recording mode. Press the “REC” button to record and

press again to stop recording, then press or to select the levels of

VAR according to your needs, minimum is 1 and the maximum is 4.

Repress the “REC” to restart recording after finishing adjustment, will

flash when there’s no sound input after 3 seconds. The recording time

pauses. The recording pauses. It will automatically start recording when there’s sound input.:

Stop recording: Repress “REC” button (6), record stops.: Setting recording mode: When the recorder is in the standby mode, press “M” button (7) to enter into the main menu.

Press “ / ” button (4) (5) to select the recording modes.

Press “M” button (7) to confirm the selection. Press “REC” to start recording. The recording mode displays on the screen when we come to different modes

(LP Recording mode) (SP VAR recording) (HP recording mode)

• LP: Long recording (ACT) • SP: Standard recording (WAV) • HP: High quality recording (WAV) •

*Only SP recording mode have Voice Activated Recording

Attention: When screen shows “FUL”, it indicates the disk is

full or the battery is low. Then some files should be deleted to keep enough space to save new recording files & other PC files. If it is low battery, please change the battery. The recorder can save 200 pieces of recording files.

Automatic section-break: After recording for full 4 hours, the voice recorder will automatically start a new file to continue recording.

Play recording files

Press “ ” button (1) in record mode to start playing the recorded files.

The recording files will play one by one.

Repress “ ” button (1) to pause playing.

press “ / ” button (4)(5) at the main menu until the recorder comes to

the screen like above (picture 1). Press “M” button (7) to confirm. The recorder enters in playing (recording file) standby mode.

Press “ ” button (1) to start playing.

Adjust volume: Press “volume+/volume-” button (2) (3) to adjust the volume. Select file to play:

Press “ ” button (4) playback comes to next file

press “ ” button (5) for last file.

Hold and press “ / ” button (4) (5) for fast forward or backward.

Recording monitor: Insert the earphone when the recording is being made, you can hear what you are recording, and you can also adjust the volume in the earphone: press the “REC” to stop the recording and then press the “VOLUME+” or “VOLUME-“ After finishing the adjustment, press “REC” to continue recording.

MP3 Player Mode

Press “M” button (7) in standby mode to enter into main menu.

Press “ / ” button (4) (5) until the screen show like picture (1) below.

Repress “M” button (7) to confirm and enter in music mode. Then the recorder enters in Music standby mode as the picture (2) shows, if there is no music file in the recorder, the screen shows like picture (3)and return to the main menu: .

(1) (2) (3) Play/stop playing:

Press “ ” button (1) to start playing in MUSIC standby mode. Repress “ ”

button (1) to stop playing. Select the songs to be play:

Press “ ” button (4) in playing mode to select the next song, press “ ”

button (5) for last song.

Hold and press “ / ” button (4) (5) for fast forward/ backward.

A—B repeat

Select A---B : Press “REC” button (6) when playing to confirm point “A”, repress “REC” button (6) to confirm point “B”. The recorder starts to repeat from A to B.

Stop repeating:

The recorder will automatically stop repeating after 3 times when repeating music. And it will repeat all the time when repeating recorded files. Press “REC” button (6) or press “M” button (7) to stop repeating.

Delete

In the recording and playing mode, select the file which should be deleted. Hold and press “M” button (7) for 5 seconds for deleting the one you selected. The screen shows like below: picture (1). Repress “M” button (7) to confirm the deletion.

(Delete one) (1) After repress “M” button to confirm the deleting, the screen will show:

FM Radio The FM covers 87.5MHZ~108.0MHZ. Press “M” button (7) at standby mode to enter in main menu.

Press “ / ” button (4/5) to select the main menu, until it comes to flash

on the interface. (Like picture 1). Press “M” button (7) to enter in FM radio mode. It will show like picture (2).

Scan Channel:

Briefly press “ / ” button (4) (5) for manual scanning.

Hold and press “ / ” for automatic scanning.

If the channel is scanned, the recorder will stop to playback the channel automatically. Briefly press “REC” button to save the channel. After saving the channel,

press button to play the saved channels. E.g. Press button once, it

will play the first channel “P01”. Repress for next channel “P02”. Delete the saved channels Hold and press “M” button (7) for about 5 seconds, then repress “M” button to confirm the deletion of all saved channels.

Remark:Please use earphone which accompanying with the

recorder when listening to FM radio (earphone used as an aerial).

Time Setting

Hold and press “M” button (7) at any standby mode to

enter into main menu. Press “ / ” button (4)/(5) to

select the time-setting mode. The screen shows (see picture below), when it comes to the time setting mode, press “M” button (7) to enter in.

Press “ / ” button (4)/(5) to select the part which

should be adjusted. The selected part will flash. Press “VOL+/VOL-” button (2)/(3) to adjust the part.

After finishing setting the time and date, the recorder will automatically confirm the setting. In the standby mode about 5 seconds or press “M” button (7), the recorder comes back to the time-setting mode menu.

Check the recording time Please upload the recording files which need to be checked the recording time to the computer. Right click the mouse and open “Properties”. You can check the time data of the recording file:

• The creation time is the time when recording started. • The modified time is the time when recording stopped • The access time is the time when the recording files uploaded to the

computer.

Please Note: Since there’s no clock memory function in the recorder, the time which is indicated would be a little different with daily time, please reset the time when you need this function.

Connect with the computer

Please insert the USB cable which accompanying with the recorder into the “USB jack” (8), and connect the USB cable with the computer, the screen of recorder shows below interface:

Attention: The recorder has the full function of standard

USB flash disk. It can support windows 98 system (But should install the driver), Windows 2000 or above (no need to install driver), Vista, Mac OS X10.3 or above, Linux Red hat 8.0 or above.

USB Power This recorder can be power supplied by USB. Connect to the PC and press “M” button (7) to exit USB function. The recorder can work as normal for recording and playing. In USB power supply mode, the recorder can not playback with the loud speaker. Please use earphone or the computer to listen and playback music or recording file.

Recording telephone conversations

1. Insert the telephone line and phone connecting line in the telephone adaptor. 2.Insert one end of the line-in cable into the telephone adaptor, the other end insert to the signal-in jack (10). 3.Select the suitable recording mode in the recorder. Press “REC” button (6) to start recording.

Record through external Microphone:

Insert the external Microphone in the “Signal-in” Jack (10). Turn on the recorder. Press “REC” button (6) to start recording.

Record audio via Line-in:

1. Connect one end of the line-in cable with the audio output of the external player and the other end with “signal-in” jack of the recorder. 2. To select the recording mode first, after that press “REC” button to start recording, then turn on the external player and play the audio files, the sound it plays will be recorded.

Attention: In case of occurrence of distortion, turn down

volume of the external music to lower level.

Installation of drivers Place the accompanying CD into the CD ROM of PC (or manually operate the “set up. exe” in the CD), enter in installation interface, click “Next” button, click “Next” button after selecting installation path. Click “Next” to start installing the program. After successful installation, click “Close” button to fulfill software installation. To start from PC’s “Start” → “Program”→ “MP3 Player Upgrade、Sound Convert”. MP3 Player Upgrade is an upgrade tool and Sound Convert is for converting the Voice Files, MP3 player Disk Tool is for setting the password for the disk. Convert ACT recording file into * WAV format The ACT format file recorded by the recorder can be converted into WAV format via the accompanying installation program tool kit. 1. Run “Sound Converter” program, and click “Open” button

3. Click “Convert” button to start converting into WAV file

Attention: Before converting the ACT file, please rename or

backup the recording file in WAV format which has the same code with ACT format need to convert. For example: We want to convert “REC001 ACT” to WAV format. Before converting it, we have to rename the “REC001”. Otherwise the new file “REC001” created by converting will replace the original “REC001”.

Trouble shooting

The recorder cannot turn on. Please check the power switch is at the “ON” side or if there is enough battery, please recharge the battery or reformat the recorder. Check that the Hold button is not on. No sound is heard when playing files. Please make sure the connection of earphone is OK. Please adjust the volume or check the file to see if the file is damaged/corrupted It will not record. Please format the recorder at FAT system. But please backup the important files onto your pc/laptop before formatting. All data is wiped from the recorder The recorder is frozen, can not response. Please take out the battery and put them back after 3 second. Then connect the recorder with PC via USB cable. Format the recorder at FAT system. But please backup the important files before formatting. It will not connect with my PC, it can’t be recognized. Please check whether there’s something wrong with the USB cable, use a spare if you have one. If you are on an old Operating system please check that the OS USB driver has been installed properly. The FM Radio is not very clear Please adjust the position of earphone and recorder.
