4 Active Speakers The Digital Vertical Array (DVA) is a compact, active Line-Array for small to medium sized Venues. It offers superb acoustic characteristics, easy handling, high flexibility and an outstanding economical performance. The combination of high-quality RCF® loudspeaker components with lightweight neodymium magnets, a specially designed 3-way digital power amp and the innovative PP plastic housing with integrated fly ware allows an extremely low weight of only 13.2 Kg. Both, the mechanical and technical concept of the DVA guarantee a maximum of flexibility and easy and quick handling at the same time. With a nominal dispersion angle of 100°x15° the DVA allows many different configurations of only one single unit ( e.g. for near-fill ) or 2-4 units as a small and compact PA system, to up to 16 x DVA T4 per side as a large array. The integrated digital Class-T® power amp in the DVA T4 offers a respectable 420W/RMS at an efficiency of 90%, driving the system 3-way active. The unique Class-T® technology offers compared to other digital power amp circuits a brilliant sound quality which in the high end, is similar to a Class-AB circuit meaning a natural sound reproduction without having the "digital effect". Because of the high efficiency of the Class-T amp a cooling fan is not needed which gives a big advantage e.g. for quite environments like theatres. Tasks like active crossover, harmonic filters, limiter controls and system monitoring are operated by the built in 24-bit DSP. To adapt to different set ups of an array, a rotary selector with eight different programs, for various high- and low/mid configurations is built into the back of each DVA T4 unit. The DVA T4 has an integrated active PFC-Switchmode supply. It is very lightweight and offers an efficiency of 90% using professional Neutrik® PowerCon-Conectors, allowing up to 8 DVA T4 to be driven safely on only one 230V/16A core. The supply works from 85-260V, meaning it will accept all different mains voltages worldwide, even under worst conditions. Offering a wide frequency range of 80Hz to 19KHz the DVA T4 is perfectly usable as a fullrange speaker for speech or backround music. Two active subwoofers with a digital power amp are available to be used for larger venues. The bandpass subwoofer DVA S10 is equipped with a single 18" RCF®-Neodymium woofer of the newest generation, driven by a 1000W digital power amp. Using the optionally available flyware, up to two DVA S10 can be flown mounted to the DRK-10 rigging kit. Further the DVA S10 can be used as a compact PA system together with either 3x DVA T4 on a speaker pole or 2x DVA S10 and 4-6 DVA T4 as a Groundstack. An absolute beast is the high-power active subwoofer DVA S20, designed as a bassreflex enclosure with a digital 2000W power amp and two 18" RCF®-Neodymium woofers, which can handle a peak-power of up to 6000W. Again, the highly efficient digital power amps of both subwoofers do not need a fan cooling system. The integrated crossover ( 90/120Hz switchable), professional Power-Con mains connectors and a slot on the back of each subwoofer for the optional SDD delay-module are just a few highlights. Mounting points for the DRK-10 frame and threads on the back for taking the optional blue-wheels complete the picture. DVA Digital Vertical Array Class-T™ and DPP™ are Trademarks of Tripath Technology Inc.
