In 1963, when our founder, the late Mr. P. C. Mathew first began

manufacturing coir mattresses, it was a pioneering effort. In the 45 years that

followed, much has changed. People, policies, economies, markets, ergonomic

theories, customer preferences and many new technologies. But the spirit of

new ventures has endured.

The pioneering effort 45 years ago has endeavoured to create India´s

leading manufacturer of rubberized coir mattresses. Duroflex is now India´s

largest exporter of sleep and comfort products. Duroflex started with a small

manufacturing plant along the quiet canal at Alleppey, Kerala, is today a leading

enterprise with the most modern manufacturing processes in Andhra Pradesh,

Tamil Nadu and Kerala and customers across the world. Duroflex has total three

manufacturing units in Alappuzha, Hosur and Hyderabad and an extensive

marketing organisation with company sales office and 1500 stockiest all over

India.

Duroflex rubberised coir mattress is manufactured using eco-friendly

materials, coconut fibre and latex foam. The raw materials in the Duroflex uses

are 100 percent natural and environment friendly. In the growing, processing

and production processes no harmful substances are used or released. Duroflex

has always adopted methods that encourage minimal waste with maximum

recycling.

Duroflex products are known for consistent and standard quality and the

company gives priority to apply strict quality control in its operations. These

Performance appraisal has become a major tool for the development of employees well designed performance appraisal with clear career path increases the job satisfaction among the professionals that help them in becoming efficient and effective at work place. As such a detail survey will be conducted to analyze the significance of performance appraisal in Duroflex Private Limited

OBJECTIVES OF STUDY

1. To determine whether employees have a healthy work culture.

2. To obtain employees satisfaction with the appraisal propaganda offered

to them.

3. To see whether employees motives being realized with company

objectives.

4. To see whether the employees get motivated through performance

appraisal activities.

5. To see whether the performance appraisal schemes helps in aligning

targets as per the business strategies

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

The study will be conducted as an exploratory sampling survey method to

collect primary and secondary data.

SAMPLING METHOD

Random sampling of middle level employees.

Sample size- 100 employees

Sampling Method is used due to its less expensive, less time consuming

and greater accuracy nature. Simple random Sampling with replacement is used

for data collection through Questionnaires and Interviews.

PLAN OF ANALYSIS

Data analysis is the process of looking at and summarizing data with the

intent to extract useful information and develop conclusions. Data analysis is

closely related to data mining, but data mining tends to focus on larger data sets,

with less emphasis on making inference, and often uses data that was originally

collected for a different purpose. Since the sample size is not that large we can

use charts and bars for data analysis.
