The time of year for our annual convention is upon us again, so it is with much enthusiasm that I announce the convening of our 92nd Annual

State Convention on June 17-20, 2019. This year we will enjoy Durham, North Carolina, “The City of Medicine” where there is so much to

do. Some of the popular places to visit are the Museum of Life and Science, Duke Gardens, American Tobacco Historic District and the Eno

River State Park. You can take in a Durham Bulls game or even go on a shopping spree at the Streets at Southpoint. The convention will be held

at the Marriott Convention Center which is located at 201 Foster Street Durham, North Carolina 27701. Reservations can be made online

by using this link Book your group rate for Funeral Directors and Morticians of NC June 2019 or you may make your reservations directly

with the hotel at 919.768.6020. Ask for the Funeral Directors and Morticians Association of North Carolina, Inc. group rate. The room

rate is $140.00 per night plus tax. To receive this discounted rate, reservations should be made no later than Friday, May 17, 2019.

On Monday, June 17 PAC will host its Annual Golf Tournament from 9 am to 3 pm. Please see the enclosed flyer for details. This year the

convention committee is bringing back “Big Monday” (Game Night) with the exhibit hall opening from 8 pm to 10 pm. The Ladies Auxiliary

will host their annual luncheon on Tuesday, June 18 and on that evening the Central District will entertain us with their version of Let’s Make a

Deal. Please see enclosed flyer for more information. On Wednesday evening, June 19, our Annual Awards Banquet will be held where we will

honor our Professional of the Year, pay tribute to our Souvenir Journal Dedication recipient and our Trailblazers. Please remember that this event

is semi-formal. Dress to impress. As always, you will have the opportunity to earn continuing educational credits.

Pre-registration for members and guests will be accepted until Monday, May 24, 2019. After this date, on-site registration fees will be

applicable. There will be no exceptions. Please remember that dues are to be paid before May 31, 2019. Please note that all monies and
