Application Plural equipment is recommended. DuPont™ VelvaShield® builds at approximately 1.1-1.5 mils per pass with a recommended setup. Apply using a

cross-coat technique, top-to-bottom, then side-to-side. Each coat should be medium-wet. No flash time is required between coats.

Paint heaters can help provide a smoother appearance by controlling the temperature and viscosity of the product, especially under adverse or changing conditions.

Dry Time 77°F (25°C) & 50% Rh at recommended film thickness Force Dry (recommended): 30 minutes @160-180°F (71-82°C) minimum part temperature. Air dry: 4 – 6 hrs Application Equipment Suggested application is HVLP. Use the following or equivalent set-up: DeVilbiss JGHV gun, 46MP air cap, FF needle (.055), FF tip (1.4 mm), 8-10 psi @ cap & 10-12 fluid oz/min For siphon application, set air pressure to 60-70 psi @ gun. For pressure pot application, set fluid delivery to 10-12 oz/min, and set air pressure to 55-65 psi at the gun.
