The Holidays are Coming!! We will begin decorating the Clubhouse on Tuesday, November 19th. We welcome any Elves that would like to help! The Recreation Department would also like to propose a “Holiday Challenge”. Our challenge is to each club and organization within our community to: 1) “Adopt a Charity”. SLCCV Clubs/Organizations would choose

a charity(if they don’t already have one) for their club to sponsor and solicit donations for during the Holidays. Example: The Recreation Department is sponsoring “Operation Yellow Ribbon” and will be collecting a list of items to send to our troops. Each organization will take a large box, decorateor label the box to designate their charity. Boxes would then be displayed in the clubhouse lobby to collect donations.

2) SLCCV “Trim a Tree”. The Recreation Department is sponsoring a contest between all Clubs/Organizations for the best decorated Christmas Tree. Decorate a tree that reflects your club/organization. Trees may be of any size and will be displayed along the walkways into the main Clubhouse entrance. Winners that solicit the most donations for their charity and winners of the best decorated tree willbe announced and recognized at the December Happy Hour for “Outstanding Community Service” and/or “Best Decked Tree” Award. Let’s LIGHT UP SLCCV with Holiday Spirit!
