Duet January 2010 Super Xmas SpecialRyosuke Yamada x Koichi Domoto

-- In this month, his dreams are coming true. Yamada san will be able to have a shootwith Koichi san!

Yamada: I was very nervous for the photo shoot. Actually, being next to Koichi kunIm still nervous. But, I was surprised when I saw Koichi kun playing with his dog, Pan

chan in the studio. Its a very strange side of him.

Koichi: I rarely have chance to talk to my kohai properly so Im more nervous than you

(laughs). Lately, there are Jr. around Yamada kuns age back dancing for Kinki Kids too.

Its our first time talking like this, right?

Yamada: Yes. I wasnt able to be on stage everyday for 2006s SHOCK and that I only

joined the filming of Unlucky Laboratory in September from the middle of the show.

-- Whats Yamada sans reason for admiring Koichi san?

Yamada: Before I joined Jr., I went to Kinki Kidss concert at Tokyo Dome with mymother when I was in 3rd grade. Koichi kun had this prince-like image and he made me

think, I want to be like him one day.

Kochi: Because my profession is to be a prince (laughs).

Yamada: The dome was huge so I only saw him from afar but he had this larger than life

aura.

Koichi: Thats a quite valuable (comment), I dont usually get to hear the views of the

audience.

Yamada: Not only Kinki Kidss concerts, I go to see most of Koichi kuns solo (concert)

too. In the mirror tour, I got goose bumps from being moved when the ceiling of venuewas filled with stars.

Koichi: Hahaha, thanks.

Yamada: How do you come up with that outlook on the world-like concerts?

Koichi: Eh!? It just popped out (laughs). But, how should I say this. To give aconcrete idea, I start with what to do with for opening. For example, first song of the solo

concert I just did was Ayakashi and its a song with traditional Japanese vibe so I thought

if I do this for costume and lighting, maybe itll be more traditional taste? Then, I justadded more from there. Well, instead of planning thing out, how about you put your own

taste to it? Its important to come up with something thats you and enjoyable for the

audience at the same time. Thats the most key part.

Yamada: Thats incredible!!

Koichi: Not at all (laughs). I went to go see SUMMARY once and I was simply amazed

there. When people have a favorite senpai, they tend to copy them without even realizingit but I think Yamada kun did his own expression during your solo.

--You both have a common point. First, youre both type B blood and has a pet dog!!

Koichi: Yamada kun has a pet dog too?

Yamada: Yes. I have two, Chihuahua and toy poodle. My dogs are really cute.

Koichi: I see. But, theres no doubt my dog is cuter than yours.

Yamada: Hahaha. Koichi kun, why did you decided to have a dog? I never had an imageof you liking dogs so I was a little surprised at first.

Koichi: I know. There were a lot of fans who thought its was strange too. Even the staffs

told me you finally like something without a screw (laughs). I really liked animals

since I was little though. Then, the reason for having one is is it okay if its not a funny

story? (Laughs)

Yamada: Doesnt matter at all, Id love to hear it (laughs).

Koichi: Well then (laughs). First, my mother said she wanted a dog, so I was searching

for one on the pet shops home page. I stopped at Pan and showed herhow about these

kinds when I come back from work, there was my mom and Pan. Then, I was going tothe bathroom to wash my hands before holding her, she was waddling around followed

me to the bathroom!! When I saw that, I became aah, I cant do this, I have to have her

(laughs)

Yamada: I know how that feels very much (laughs). Koichi kun is type B blood too. My

personality is like the typical type B person. I ask around for others opinions but I want

to set my opinions more forward. Thats how I feel right now. But, keeping my roomclean and organized is type A blood like. Im a type of person who likes their territory

clean.

Koichi: My room used to really clean but Pan is throwing all her toys on the floor

lately so I gave up (laughs).

Yamada: I said I want to put my opinions more forward before but I can never do it on

the set at work. For example, whenever I have something I want to add during concert

meetings, I think if I said this, it might be a bother and end up keeping the questions to

myself most of the time. Even though I know I have to get myself out there more

Koichi: When there are many members in a group, it might be hard to balance things out

like that. With that point, Kinki Kids being a duo is easy. Although, I envy groups thathas many members all the time.

Yamada: What part for example?

Koichi: Having more different formation on standing positions during concerts. Hey, do

you ever fight with the

members? (laughs)

Yamada: No!! Actually, Hey!Say!JUMP get along very well. Do Kinki Kids have fights?

Koichi: No (laughs). Its more like we argue in a good way. But, we never fight. I was

still lodging when I was about 16 and we would fight all the time. Who hate my purin!?

and other stupid things like that (laughs). That reminds me, what do you do on your

private time?

Yamada: Theres a river right near my house so I take my dogs out for walks there. Also,I play basketball.

Koichi: Thats the correct answer. When I was 16, I mostly done unspeakable things

just kidding (laughs). I played games at the lodge.

--- Lastly, if you guys were to meet on a day off, what would Yamada san want Koichi

kun do with you?

Yamada: I would like him to take me out on a drive!

Koichi: Thats totally fine. Ah, it wont be a white horse then, is that okay?

Yamada: Hahaha. Of course its okay (laughs).
