The DSE860 and DSE865 arecommunications devices that allowyou to monitor single or multiplegenerating sets over a LAN(network) or WAN (internet)connection. The devices includesoftware that is used to assign aTCP/IP address to a COM Port on a PC.
This COM port is then selected bythe user in the standard PC softwareof the DSE module being used.Once this COM port has beenselected then the user cancommunicate directly with thecontrol module from their PC.
If the device needs to be seen overthe internet the assigned IP addresshas to be configured to be visible tothe outside world. Once this hasbeen done the module can becommunicated with from anyremote location that has internetconnectivity. The devices have beendesigned to work with the DSE55xx,DSE73xx, DSE75xx DSE86xx andDSE87xx control modules.
The devices also include LEDindicators that show the operationand connection status at all times.Different light patterns indicate arange of status conditions.
