Demo Vehicles are assigned to a salesman. If used by another staff member on the day, the gate control will record who used the vehicle. !

When a salesman takes a client on a test drive the salesman captures the client’s details from their drivers licence THUS validating that the drivers licence is not fake. The demo vehicle licence disc is then scanned to tie the client and the demo together for future reporting.

Dealer Sales Forecast and Target Market Analysis

Dealership is deciding on a market strategy and forecasting sales for the next quarter. They want to attract more customers to their showroom but they are not sure what customers are visiting them on a regular basis. Had the dScan been in place they would have the following info at their finger tips.

* How many customers came to the dealership on what days.

* The age and sex of dealership’s target market.

* What car their target market drives (for trade in statistics).

* The age, model, make & registration of their customers vehicles.

Hijack and False Drivers Licence

Two young men arrive at a dealership to test drive a OPC. The salesman was contacted over the phone by the two gentleman and presented with documentation for finance via e-mail for credit application. The salesman is comfortable that the customers is credit worthy and upstanding citizens. At the dealership the customers are well groomed and polite. The salesman takes the client on a test drive after photo copying their drivers licence.

The two young men pull the car over on the test drive and force the salesman out of the car.

On return to the dealership the salesman and manager realize that the drivers licence and all the documentation e-mail to the salesman is fake. Had the salesman scanned the drivers licence with the dScan he would have seen that the photo on the drivers licence does not match the two young men that hijacked him. The PDF417 code on the drivers licence is impossible to fake.

Dealership Access Control

Security stops all vehicles to sign the manual visitors book. Client writes details in book as follows:

Name: Mickey Mouse

Visiting: Donald Duck

Vehicle Reg: 007

Security guards don’t check the details and allow the client access. This client is in a hurry and double parks another client. While upstairs with the F&I the dealership goes into a flat panic to find who the car belongs to. Had the dScan been in place the dealership could check the report and see who the client is that entered with that car. A simple announcement over the intercom would have alerted the client to move his car.
