Background Data Subject Access Requests are a core aspect of all major new privacy regulations, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Under these regulations, Data Subjects (typically customers of an organization) can request the organization to provide all information held by the organization about themselves, along with the purpose for which each piece of information is being used. According to Gartner, “In 2019, clients indicated they spend, on average, more than $1,400 to answer a single Subject Rights Request (SRR).” 1 The laws around the world requiring DSARs are becoming more widespread, and as average citizens become more aware of their rights, the number of DSAR requests are exploding. Additionally, failure to comply properly and promptly with a DSAR can impose not only financial penalties, but legal and reputational consequences as well. DSAR Automation For Maximum Impact In response to the rising number of DSAR requests across organizations, many new solutions have emerged in the market to automate DSAR processing. Most of these solutions offer only a front-end workflow that enables companies to manage the DSAR response process. However, the heavy lifting – namely retrieving the data of the requestor from various repositories in the organization – is left for the organization to solve on its own. Automation of this back-end information retrieval is where the maximum cost savings can be achieved – this is where Dataguise’s DSAR solution is the leader. This is also where companies can reduce risk by leveraging technology that goes broad and deep to ensure regulatory compliance requirements are met. Dataguise offers flexible deployment options to meet the needs of any company from a comprehensive DSAR solution, referred to as DgDSAR, to an easy, quick-start option, referred to as DgDSAR Lite. 1 Gartner, “5 Areas Where AI Will Turbocharge Privacy Readiness” (April 2019) DgDSAR Key Features Supports Right of Access and Right to Erasure requests Provides hard and soft delete options for Right to Erasure requests Provides integration API to DSAR request intake user interfaces Quick retrieval of the Data Subject’s information via an interactive search screen Built-in management screen for DPO approval of data to be shared with Data Subjects Report exportability to Excel, PDF and CSV formats (automated or subject to internal review/approval) Information about the location of Data Subjects, Users, and Systems in an organization is maintained and instantly available Collection and display of privacy-related metrics for each system, including presence of GDPR, CCPA and other sensitive data, third-party users, and purpose • Easy deployment and configurability, with enterprise integration hooks • Deployment on-premises or in cloud accounts Supports a very wide range of data platforms both on-premises and in the cloud DgDSAR Lite Key Features: Quick retrieval of the Data Subject’s information via an interactive search screen Exportability of the DSAR report into Excel, PDF and CSV formats • Easy deployment and configurability • Multiple deployment options–cloud-based or on-premises • Supports most common data platforms DATAGUISE, INC. | 39650 LIBERTY STREET, STE 400 | FREMONT, CA 94538 | 877.632.0522 | WWW.DATAGUISE.COM Dataguise DgDSAR End-to-end Automation of Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) GET DATA DATA RETRIEVAL OPTIONS: PRIVACY MANAGEMENT: IDENTITY INVENTORY POLICY REPORTS DOMAIN RDBMS HADOOP/FILES AWS AZURE GOOGLE CLOUD MONITOR PRIVACY LAST SCAN: Thursday, Jan 31, 2019 Jerry, James Rockies Accounting Customer OperationsWeekly SEARCH Jerry, James, 456-34-2466 To locate an identity, enter a unique identifier and click the search button IDENTITY MATCH OBJECTS CONTAINING THE IDENTITY SYSTEM DATA TYPE SELECT ALL review accounts 2018.docx customers_to_email_monthly.xslx AP_2019Q1.xslx Market research summary – focus groups Dec 2018.pptx customer_satisfaction_review.pdf accounts_payable_shortJan112019.xslx out_of_date_customerlist.xslx current_customer_list_TO_USE.xslx payment_mechanisms_by_household.xslx VOLUME Limited Extensive All Data FORMAT PDF Excel SCOPE Selected Objects All Objects in All Systems Schedule a Live Demo Here: www.dataguise.com/DEMO

DSAR Automation For Maximum Impact

In response to the rising number of DSAR requests across organizations, many new solutions have emerged in the market to automate DSAR processing.
