Software tools

I have used the adjust colour for skin tone tool on my front because it was a bit pale and I wanted to make it a bit warmer.

I have used the text tool throughout the whole of my magazine. This is to be able to add text to my magazine, and all magazines need text.

I have used the brush tool in my advert. I have chosen the splat tool as it adds effect to my advert and looks good.

I used the marquee tool to draw where I would place the barcode and I filled the background in white.

I specifically downloaded the barcode brush from brusheezy then in the white box I used the brush tool to imprint the barcode.

I have used the magnetic lasso tool to cut out my trainer from the picture I took . I feathered it by 4px to ensure that when it was cut out it wasn’t harsh and had soft edges.

I have used effects on my text on my front cover. I have selected the “Hard Edge” effect which gives it some sort of shadow behind the text.

I have used the cookie cutter tool to make my heading bars. There are many shapes to choose from but I specifically chose this one.

I filled them in red by using the fill tool and added text to them with the text tool.

On my contents page I have used the stroke fill selection tool. The stroke colour was red. I have done this to all the pictures I have used on the contents so that they stand out more against the black background

I have changed the opacity of the layer to make it seem more see through and I have changed the layer style to “Vivid Light”.

While on the magnetic lasso tool I have changed the “feather” to 5 so that when using it, its smoother.

I have added headers to my titles, so if i was to make a new title the it would appear like the other header.

I have inserted a graph where I can write out my information, I have done this because its neater.

I have used the pie chart tool to insert pie charts. This has been done because information is presented better like this.

I have used various software's for example PowerPoint, Word, Photoshop, Prezi and Publisher.
