    BASIS FOR THICKNESS CALCULATION

    1. Design Code : IBR

    2. Margins over IBR Code Requirement

    2.1 Water Walls:

    i. ii.

    0.6 mm provided for all water wall tubes over the thickness required as per IBR. Further, an additional tube thickness of 1.0 mm over and above the tube thickness of waterwall tubes calculated as per the above shall be provided on all water wall tubes coming within a radius of half a meter each wall blower. Thinning allowance for bends : 10%

    2.2 Superheaters & Reheaters:

    i. Erosion allowance (Leading tubes) : 1.0 mm

    ii. Erosion allowance (Balance of Tubes) : 0.6 mm

    iii. Thinning allowance for bends : 10%

    2.3 Economiser

    i. Erosion allowance : 1.0 mm

    ii. Thinning allowance for bends : 10%
