DRUG DEN DISMANTLED; 7 OTHERS ARRESTED IN IPIL, ZAMBOANGA SIBUGAY

Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay - A drug den was dismantled and seven drug personalities were arrested during a buy-bust operation conducted by joint elements of PDEA Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Office, Municipal Drug Enforcement Unit-Ipil, and Regional Drug Enforcement Unit on April 26, 2019 at around 08:00 in the evening at Purok Dona Aurora, Barangay Poblacion, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.

The arrested suspects were identified as Arwin Salinas aka Barok Salinas, den maintainer, local drug group member and listed in the local police watchlist; Pontiano Guia Jr. y Salles; Romero Guia y Salles; Ujie Iso y Bernaldes; Elmer Espiritu y Capinpin; Roy Cedrick Hernandez y Nimil; Reniefel Salinas y Gubatan, all visitors of the drug den.

Confiscated during the operation were four (4) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu weighing more or less 10grams worth Php68,000.00, several drug paraphernalia, cellphone, and P500 used as buy bust money.

Cases for violation of Sections 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, 13, 14 and15, Article II of RA 9165 are being readied for filing in court against the suspects.

PDEA, PNP ARREST LOCAL DRUG GROUP MEMBER

Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay - On April 26, 2019 at around 4:45PM, elements of PDEA Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Office and Ipil Municipal Police Station (MPS) conducted a buy-bust operation at Purok Makugihon, Barangay Tirso Babiera, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay which resulted in the arrest of Christian Araneta y Francisco.

The arrested suspect is a member of the local drug group operating in Ipil and other nearby areas. He is also on the watchlist of the local police in Ipil.

Confiscated during the operation were two (2) pieces heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, weighing more or less (0.5) gram worth Php1,000.00, one (1) gray coin purse, one (1) unit black Cherry mobile cellular phone , one (1) blue disposable lighter, two (2) pieces five peso coin, six (6) pieces one peso coin, one (1) unit blue Honda Wave100 without plate number and one (1) Five hundred peso bill used as buy bust money.

Cases for Violation of Section 5 and 11 Article II of RA 9165 are being readied for filing in court against the suspect.

On April 15, 2019 at around 3:10PM, elements of PDEA-Tawi-Tawi, FS WESMIN,

3012AISS, 51st SAC, 5th SAB, PNP-SAF, 1st MSOU, PIB TTPPO, MBLT 9 and MBLT 6

served an Arrest Order to Sabri Teka Opong aka Sika/Sabri/Umpong at Brgy. Luuk,

Buntal, Panglima Sugala, Tawi-Tawi which resulted in the untimely death of the said

suspect.

Seized during the operation were one Cal .45 pistol, one magazine steel, six rounds cal

.45 ammunition, one empty shell, three pieces heat sealed transparent plastic sachets

containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, weighing more or less 10

grams and assorted drug pharaphernalia.

The cadaver of the subject was turned over to Hon. Aldazier Hussein Hamjan, Brgy.

Belatan, Panglima Sugala, Tawi-Tawi, while the recovered non-drug evidence were

turned over to 51st SAC for proper disposition and the drug evidence were in the custody

of this office.

TOP 6 IN PDEA ZDN TARGET LIST AND TOP 4 IN ZNPPO PIB TARGET LIST NABBED IN A JOINT BUY-BUST OPERATION

Joint elements of PDEA Zamboanga del Norte, Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU) and Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) conducted buy-bust operation at Brgy. Miputak, Dipolog City which lead to the arrest of the TOP 6 in PDEA ZDN Target List and TOP 4 in ZNPPO PIB Target List at around 3:00 pm of April 14, 2019.

The arrested suspect was identified as Jose Ian Pulido y Montallana, 27 years old, single and a resident of Capitol Avenue, Brgy. Estaka, Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte.

Estimated street value of confiscated illegal drugs (shabu) amounting to Four Thousand Pesos (Php 4,000.00). Cases for violation of Section 5 and 11, Art II of R.A. 9165 was already filed in court. Suspect is temporarily detained at Dipolog City Police Station Detention Cell.

On April 13, 2019 at around 1330H, joint elements of PDEA Tawi-Tawi, Bongao Municipal

Police Station, and Police Drug Enforcement Unit-Police Intelligence Branch, Tawi-Tawi

Police Provincial Office conducted buy-bust operation at Brgy. Tubig Boh, Bongao, Tawi-

Tawi which resulted in the arrest of JURAIL JUMDARI y KIPLI, male, 29 years old,

separated and a resident of Brgy. Tubig Boh, Bongao, Tawi-Tawi, and HARI KIPLI y

ISMULA, 32 years old, male and a resident of Brgy. Nalil, Bongao, Tawi-Tawi.

Seized during the operation were more or less 100 grams of suspected Shabu.

Cases for violations of Section 5 and Section 11 of Article II of RA 9165 were already filed

in court against the arrested suspects.

On April 12, 2019 at around 4:30PM, PDEA Tawi-Tawi, FS WESMIN, 3012AISS, 51st SAC, 5th SAB, PNP-SAF, PDEU TTPPO, Bongao MPS conducted buy-bust operation at Sitio Lumboy, Brgy. Nalil, Bongao, Tawi-Tawi which resulted in the arrest of Ardin Bin Rashid aka Alden/Arden, male, married, 27 years old and the seizure of more or less 50 grams of suspected Shabu with an estimated market value of Php340,00.00 .

Violation of Section 5 and Section 11 of Article II of RA 9165 has already been filed in court against the arrested suspect.

PDEA's TOP 5 PROVINCIAL TARGET BUSTED IN ISABELA CITY, BASILAN

Number 5 on the list of PDEA Basilan, Humer Sulaiman y Hassan, 25, married, a resident of Barangay Kaumpurnah, Isabela City, Basilan, was arrested during a buy-bust operation conducted by joint operatives of PDEA Basilan Provincial Office, Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU9) and Isabela City Police Station at the vicinity of Kaumpurnah, Isabela City, Basilan on April 10, 2019 at around 12:40 AM.

Also arrested during the operation was Jasmina Sulaiman y Atang, 27, married, a resident of Barangay Marketsite, Isabela City, Basilan.

Confiscated during the operation were one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu weighing more or less five (5) grams worth Php34,000.00, and the buy-bust money.

A case for violation of Section 5, in relation to Section 26, Article II of RA 9165 has already been filed in court against the suspects.

PDEA's TOP 7 PROVINCIAL TARGET ARRESTED IN BASILAN

Identified as Alling Alonto y Cailoddin, 24, married, Top 7 on the provincial target of PDEA, was arrested during a buy-bust operation conducted by joint elements of PDEA Basilan Provincial Office, Regional Drug Enforcement Unit 9, Regional Intelligence Unit 9 and Isabela City Police Station at the vicinity of Barangay Marketsite, Isabela City, Basilan on April 7, 2019 at around 2:45 in the afternoon.

However, certain Al Karim Alonto, PDEA's Top 8 Provincial Target, managed to elude arrest.

Confiscated during the operation were one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, weighing more or less one gram worth Php6,800.00, and the buy-bust money.

Case for violation of Section 5 in relation to Section 26, Article II of RA 9165 has already been filed in court against the suspects.

LOCAL DRUG GROUP MEMBER ARRESTED IN IPIL DRUG BUST

A member of a local drug group was arrested by joint elements of PDEA Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Office, PIB-ZSPPO, IPIL MPS and RDEU during a buy-bust operation at Purok Narra, Lower Taway, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay on April 5, 2019.

The arrested suspect was identified as Glen Legara y Esperas, a local drug group member, 35 years old, married and a resident of the said place.

Confiscated during the operation were four (4) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, weighing more or less 6 grams worth Php40,800.00, a motorcycle, several drug paraphernalia and the buy-bust money.

The suspect has already been charged in court for violation of Sections 5, 11 and 12, Article II of RA 9165.

PDEA, PNP BUSTED FEMALE DRUG SUSPECT

Joint elements of PDEA RO IX Zamboanga City Office and S2, Zamboanga City Police Office arrested a female drug suspect during a buy-bust operation at Lot 2, Blk. 16, Catalina Homes (CDCP), Brgy. Sta. Catalina, Zamboanga City on April 5, 2019.

The arrested female suspect was identified as Grace Amilbangsa y Quijano.

Confiscated during the operation were three (3) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, weighing MOL 2 grams worth Php 13,400.00, one white box labeled Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime, coin purse, assorted drug paraphernalia and Php500.00 bill utilized as buy-bust money.

Cases for violation of Sections 5, 11 and 12, Article II, RA 9165 have been filed in court against the suspect.

DRUG DEN DISMANTLED; SIX ARRESTED IN ZAMBO DRUG BUST

A drug den was dismantled and six drug personalities, including its den maintainer, were arrested during a buy-bust operation conducted by joint elements of PDEA RO IX Zamboanga City Office and S2, Zamboanga City Police Office on April 5, 2019, at around 2125H in Estrada Drive, Barangay Tetuan, Zamboanga City.

The arrested suspects were identified as Vincent Marcial y Salomon, drug den maintainer (HVT), Amir Jamberan y Salma, Carlo Epan y Gregorio (HVT), John Escobar y Macion (HVT), Ryan Bacabac y Sylvestre (HVT) and Jeffrey Delos Reyes y Torres (HVT), all visitors of the drug den.

Confiscated during the operation were twenty-one (21) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, weighing MOL 10 grams worth Php 68, 000.00, Php500 buy-bust money, three (3) opened plastic sachets with shabu residue, several drug paraphernalia and cash amounting to Php 420.00 in different denominations.

Cases for violation of Sections 5, 6, 7, 11 and 12, Article II, RA 9165 have been filed in court against the suspects.

IMPLEMENTATION OF OPLAN HULI WEEK

Conductor, tested positive for use of illegal drugs during Oplan HULI WEEK

A conductor, out of 397, yielded positive result for use of illegal drugs during the conduct of surprise drug test to bus and van drivers, conductors, dispatchers and some bus company employees in three bus terminals in the region -- Integrated Bus Terminals in Zamboanga City, Pagadian City and Dipolog City on April 15, 2019.

Said conductor will be referred for rehabilitation and the bus company will subject him to disciplinary action.

PDEA RO IX implemented OPLAN HULI WEEK in coordination with LTO9, LTFRB9, the local PNP and the LGUs concerned, with the aim of ensuring the security and safety of the riding public in time for the Holy Week.

OPLAN HULI WEEK is a simultaneous activity of PDEA, carried out by all Regional Offices nationwide, and is part of its holistic approach to reduce the demand for illegal drugs, promoting drug-free workplaces, harm reduction and reformation.

K9 sweeping and paneling, utilizing the narcotics detection dogs of PDEA9, Philippine Marines and the Philippine Coast Guard, were also conducted during this event.
