WASH in Schools•Provides healthy, safe and secure school environments that can protect children from health hazards, abuse and exclusion.

• Helps ensure quality education; healthy and well nourished children can fully participate in schooling and gain its maximum benefits. Quality education, in turn, leads to better health and nutrition outcomes, especially for girls.

•Encourages children’s pride in their schools and communities by providing dignity and privacy. Enables children to become agents of change for improving WASH practices in their families and communities.

• Investment in schoolchildren and the health of future generations. Helps children realize their full potential , prepares them for healthy living as adultswhen they become parents.
