FOR TOM’S FACE 1. Cut out the face template. Draw over it with a pencil on to some white cardboard, which should indent it with Tom Gates’ face (or on to foamboard as we have used), or you could just cut out the face and stick it on to some white card. Cut it out.
3. Do exactly the same with Delia’s head.

YOU WILL NEEDFoamboard or a paper plate or white card
Double-sided tape
Face template
Black pen: a ‘Sharpie’ is very useful or a black marker pen
Scissors
Pencil
2. Add black pen detail.
OUTFIT TIPS
If you actually want to wear the Tom
Gates head, you can always attach
the head to a long piece of white
card and staple it around your head.
Another way to create Delia is simply to wear your hair long and add a big pair of black sunglasses and a scowl
Alternatively, don’t use the template for the T-shirt – just wear a long-sleeved top on top of a school shirt, with your shirt collars over the top.

Template
Black fabric paint
Black trousers
Black shoes
1. Place the template under a white T-shirt, and carefully paint the image straight on to the T-shirt. You may want to place a plastic folder under the T-shirt so the fabric paint does not go through to the other side. Do the same for the ‘Dude’ T-shirt if you prefer that design instead.
FOR TOM’S SKETCHBOOK
1. Make a sketchbook prop by sticking ‘sketchbook’ on the front of a black book.
2. Add black trousers and black shoes.
Just add your favourite
Tom Gates adventure and you’re good
to go!
