Academic Performance Index score is
833—placing the District among the highest
performing school systems in San Diego County.
The district also boasts a Dual Immersion

South Bay YMCA
2010 marks the South Bay YMCA’s 50th year of service! The South
Bay Family YMCA serves more than 40,000 individuals annually in
the communities of Chula Vista, Bonita and National City and has
done so for nearly half a century. With more than 450 staff and
hundreds of volunteers, the South Bay Family YMCA offers various
life-enriching programs including childcare, health & fitness, sports,
gymnastics, as well as activities for older adults and teens.
We are proud to say the South Bay Family YMCA is now the
third largest YMCA branch in San Diego County, large in part to
the support of the community and its business partners - not to
mention the popularity and fantastic amenities and services they
provide our community.
The South Bay Family YMCA branch is the largest YMCA
childcare provider county-wide. More than 4,000 kids are served
daily through our Before & After School programs located on
elementary and middle school campuses.
Last year, the South Bay Family YMCA gave $1.5 million dollars
in scholarships and financial assistance to individuals who
participated in programs and membership at our YMCA, which was
one-eighth of our overall budget.

Every year the South Bay Family YMCA Annual Support Campaign has a goal of
raising $325,000 in needed funds to ensure that no one is turned away because
of the inability to pay .94 cents of every dollar donated to the South Bay Family
YMCA goes back into programs and assistance for families in need.
These dollars help your YMCA fulfill its purpose of building strong kids, strong
families and strong communities. Annual Support Campaign makes our community
stronger by enriching the spirit, mind and body of people who desire a safe, caring
and nurturing environment, while improving their health and overall well being.
If you are interested in giving, contact the South Bay YMCA, or your local McMillin

Chula Vista Yacht Club
There is something for everyone at Chula Vista Yacht Club. Activities include
racing, cruising, raft-ups, dinghy parades, poker rallies, fishing tournaments, sailing,

boards, wide screen TV and we have frequent activities (with food)
throughout the week. Especially popular is our “Diva Tuesdays” and
