Getting Started: DRDPtech for Administrators

I. Administrator Role

An administrator may access information pertaining to the teachers. An account that is assigned the role of administrator has access to DRDP records for the children under the care of all the teachers at every site.

II. Getting Started

Log In: Go to the DRDPtech website: www.drdptech.org

Enter User Name/Email: This is your complete email address :( e.g., [email protected])

Password: The first time you log into DRDPtech, enter the temporary password that was sent to your email address. (We highly recommend to copy and paste the temporary password.) Then you will be directed to change the temporary password into your own. (See Figure 1)

Note: Any problems logging into DRDPtech should be reported to your site or agency administrator. They have the ability to reset passwords automatically.

Administrator Tips: Users will sometimes have their passwords expire or they forget their password or

security question. This can be easily resolved by going into Other Options/Users. Scroll right to the Reset tab to the right of their names and click to reset. This sends them a new temporary password for log in.

Add additional users is done on the same page. Additional users may be added at the top of the page in various user roles.

For entering additional sites and locations into the system, go to Other Options and Agency/Sites. Scrolling down reveals where this information can be entered, then added.

III. Rating Periods

Rating Periods: DRDPtech team inputs all the Rating Periods. Agency administrators have the option to edit dates according to the needs of the agency.

During a rating period, ratings may be entered into DRDPtech at various times until the assessments are completed.

Important: Whenever you log into DRDptech, make sure to enter data in the correct rating period (e.g., Fall 2015). Check the displayed rating period in the upper right-hand corner of any page of DRDPtech to confirm that the rating period is correct (see Figure 2).

IV. Classes and Children

In the Navigation Menu (left side of screen) you will find the basic functions for adding classes, editing or deleting children.

Add Child Record: Important: When adding a child, enter the Statewide Student Identifier (SSID). If you do not have an SSID, you may leave that field blank. However, you must provide the Agency/District Identifier. Each child in an agency has a unique ID. The agency/district ID is important because DRDPtech uses it to monitor children’s developmental progress from one rating period to another.

Move Child Record: Teachers can only re-enroll or reassign those children in their own classes. Site administrators can reassign or re-enroll all children within a site.

Reassign Child: This function moves a child from one class to another within one specific teacher’s classes and the same rating period. All of a child’s information and ratings are moved. Children (and their ratings) are reassigned from Class A to Class B from Teacher A’s classes for that rating period.

Re-enrolled Child: This function copies the names of the children along with their information from a past rating period to the current rating period. DRDP measure

ratings are not copied. Re-enrolling a child from Rating Period A to B does not delete the child information from Rating Period A; it is copied into Rating Period B.

V. Helpful Resources for DRDPtech

To access complete information on DRDPtech and instructions for all users, visit the Resources section on the Desired Results website - http://www.desiredresults.us. There you can download the DRDPtech User’s Manual and other useful information.

Users can also set DRDPtech to display instructions at the top of each page for easy reference while logged in. This is done under Other Options. Click on Personal Settings. Then select Edit My Preferences. There you can select to have instructions open. This will place pertinent information at the top of every open page you are working in at the time.
