DRD: In-channel
DRD-T: In Tank variant
The DRD is high capacity perforated or wedgewire rotating drum screen. Effluent enters the drum by means of flange or channel. The drum openings blind with effluent and once that effluent reaches a pre-designated level, the drum rotates to be cleaned by stationary brushes mounted on the outside of the drum. A screw transports the screenings out of the drum, washes and compacts them before discharge them into either a screenings discharge bin or an integrated bagging system.
The standard DRD is installed in a concrete channel connected to a second via a baffle for overflow situations.The second channel is usually equipped with a standby screen.
The DRD-T is a flange to flange in-tank variant of the DRD. The advantage of the DRD-T is that there is no need to build a concrete channel to install the screen. The screen can also be equipped with an overflow bypass for membraneapplications.

The capacities listed are based on standard municipal sludge with a TSS between 200 and 500mg/l. For other applications. You can use our coefficient table to get a reasonable estimate for your application.
