My drawings

This project id about my skill set when it comes to drawing and how far I can go. So for this brief I have to sketch ten concepts of drawings. It doesn’t have to look amazing all it has to show is my creativity and my skills. The book ill be doing my ten sketches from the book called v for vendetta.

Concept style – isometric

When I thought about doing concept, I didn’t want to the sketches and then put that into illustrator. Even thought its vital to sketch which I have been doing, I just don’t want to make things complicating by using Photoshop or illustrator because I can only go so far with the traditional style when using those software, so I thought of trying a new style of art which is called isometric. It means where the lines of the drawing are at a 30 degrees angle.

Concept style – isometric-perspective

To fully understand isometric, I went back to the basics and just starting to do stuff about perspective drawing. Its about perspective. To the right are just images of my thought process and getting hang of the drawing. I did most if these in Herbert's lesson as he was going through perspective drawing which really helped me for this project.

Concept style – isometric- My attempt

I knew that one of our concepts for the group was a hotel so l looked around the city of Cannes and I picked this hotel called ‘InterContinental Carlton Cannes’.

I didn’t want go in to detail with the isometric drawing as it was my first actual attempt at doing it. But it came to a point where I started to think about doing it in detail and I was doing it which took a lot of time. The bottom picture was my first attempt

Concept style – isometric After showing it to Chris, he recommended

to use a software called Google Sketch up. You can create buildings in perspective and its very easy to understand. I did a bit of it in detail to show off what it would look like even when its finished without texturing. I kept the isometric style because I like the way things look in overview. The picture on the right is my example. I didn’t fully copy the hotel. I changed it a bit to make it look unique. I had to do a quick sketch to have a base to start from. I had obviously change some stuff as I was building it in the software but that’s development is about.

Final

After going through all of this the best plan of me was to stick to pen and paper and choose two concept and make them good in photoshop or illustrator as my main focus=s was on how the colours would work when its at a perspective
