Why do we need to draw conclusions?

• Being able to draw conclusions will help you many ways in life:– Helps you solve problems– Helps you evaluate what is going on

around you– Helps you better understand what is

going on– Helps you get a deeper meaning of

things.

What is drawing a conclusion?

• Drawing Conclusions is NOT:– Drawing a picture– Repeating facts in a

text– Making up

something that doesn’t go with the text

• Drawing Conclusions IS:– Using what you

already know and information from the text to make a logical statement
